Holy shit... nice list user. Ive never liked Ariel Pink but this is interesting. Its like internet musicians these days who just take samples and add eq and kick to it and call it "future funk"

just like with future funk id much rather listen to the originals

This is why I roll my eyes when people call out musicians for "stealing" (apart from maybe led zeppelin). Turns out there's a limited number of chords, riffs, and melodies in the world and it is literally fucking impossible for a pop song to be 100% original at this point.

Also, a big part of ariel's schtick is to make pastiche music that sounds lofi and kinda cheesy. In order to do so, it has to rely on a certain degree of musical cliche and stuff that sounds similar to music from the past. That doesn't make it "exactly similar," whatever that means.
