What is it that makes this movie so rewatchable?

What is it that makes this movie so rewatchable?

What is it that makes it so good? What is the movie even supposed to say or be about?

Why are the clothes so cool?

It's great scene-to-scene, individually interesting vignettes

prefer Casino's wardrobe

I still haven't seen Casino. Does it give the same feeling of momentum that Goodfellas does?

In some ways yeah, it's great. A little more streamlined (even at its running time) but with similarly great moments.

I have to watch it man, thanks for the recommendation.

There's a lot of factors that make Goodfellas such a great movie, but it's chiefly the editing. Schoonmaker is probably the greatest of all-time, and this sits alongside Casino as her crowning achievement.

Casino is good but not as easy to jump right into the middle of it as Goodfellas. It's also an hour too long.

Casino > Plebfellas

that shrink bukyak from the sopranos carried this movie

The fact that you're a faggot who hangs on every word of some shitty gangsta comraderie BS powerplay story and because you are so simple you believe the existence of buffoonish characters elevate the main character.

This, the editing just takes over the narrative, to a point of breaking rules and using cheap tricks (like freezeframes and time stretching), but I think it's all cut to audio in order to make the dialogue more engaging.

That famous "scorcese cut" of slicing out big chunks of dialogue continuity mid-scene isn't just for abstract style, it's to keep the dialogue rhythm snappy and stylized, told the way the editor/director would imagine it, even if the visuals don't match up with that rhythm.

Bit of a shame so many film school dropouts bitch about that kind of stuff, like every edit has to be a perfect, speilbergian masterpiece full of invisible cuts.

It's babbies first mobster movie. Easily digestible, 90 mins or so, some guy narrating everything. It's condensed garbage with a couple of good scenes thanks to Pesci.

If you want the real deal, watch the big boy mobster movies. I won't list them for you, but start with Casino and move on to A bronx tale.

It's babbies second mobster movie

Casino is better than Good fellas

The netflix description spoils the punch line of the movie btw.

>Sup Forums isn't real

Casino sucks. It's overly stylized, overly narrated, badly narrated and the story is told in such a boring, muddled way.

Also, Joe Pesci just plays the same character as in Goodfellas.
