Probably Master of Reality, but I wouldn't say those are their best songs.. it's just the most consistent lp...the 1st 6 all had 1 or 2 duds

Master of Reality as an album, but Paranoid has my favorite songs. War Pigs is as close to a 10/10 as you can get and Fairies Wear Boots is nothing to scoff at either.

Paranoid if only for the fact that four Brits who hadn't even toured the U.S. yet had a keen understanding of what was going on in the U.S. during the Viet Nam war.
There's a very good reason why that album resonated with not only the anti war movement in the U.S., but shell shocked vets suffering from PTSD who just returned from Nam.
I have the odd feeling that this album will gain in popularity with vets returning from Afghanistan and the middle east very soon, as nothing has changed.
We still live in fear of nuclear annihilation, we don't know who our true friends are, war vets are still spat upon and called "Baby killers" by an ungrateful populace who don't appreciate or understand the sacrifices our troops made/make, many of our vets are coming home strung out on heroin. For four Brits who never served in the armed forces, they had a crystal clear understanding of what was happening then, and is still happening now.
THAT'S why Paranoid is my favorite album
