the grammar is so different from english or any western language. even if you know all the words, you might still get the meaning completely wrong because of the jumbled sentence structure. it's pretty hard to hard your wrap around

apparently japanese is easier, not just to pronounce, but the grammar is almost identical except that korean uses way more particles whereas japanese keeps it simple

It's really is easy. Don't get fooled by people telling you it's hard just because it's a different writing style, because it isn't. I know English, Punjabi, and Koran myself. Oh, and as for integrating to Korea, I recommend it. Korean (south koreans anyway) are very open towards other ethnicity and cultures with open arms. Much like the west. Also, Korean women are fairly easy to get.

Like both, korean sounds great in rap + they have some really nifty expressions. But overall I still prefer japanese, it's really beautiful

hiragana and katakana are really easy, but yeah kanji will take time and dedication. at least the pronunciation is really straightforward (except maybe their weird 'r')

there are rules about pronunciation.
honestly, coming from someone whose first and second languages are romanian and italian, both with a really straight forward pronunciation, it was pretty hard to learn how to understand english just from listening. the pronunciation is harder than korean's because every vowel in the english language can have multiple different sounds (for example Australia has 3 differents way of pronouncing the letter "a") and consonants can change sound too
what do you think's harder? the ㄹ for westerners or the r and l for koreans?
