Peaked with Demon Days, it all went downhill after that. Plastic Beach is mediocre. Humanz is just embarrassing.

Humanz is the worst album from 2017 that I bothered listening to. That said, Gorillaz up through Plastic Beach is pretty good.

S/t, G & D-sides are patrician af and still hold up. The rest ranges from some of the best pop music of the 00s to embarrassing collabs that make me question why I ever liked them in the first place.
Humanz is an abortion. Literally Damon Albarn figuring out what's hip these days by working with the shitty rappers his daughter listens to. The whole virtual band aspect and lore is also pretty much dead, due to his dumb feud with Jamie Hewlett. I wouldn't be surprised if the cover art was is bad on purpose. The production hell they went though with Plastic Beach must've really burnt them out in the long run.
