Good shoegaze that isn't Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, or Pale Saints?

MEDICINE

youtube.com/watch?v=-RUCbvONYCI

I don't really understand in what world medicine is not an essential shoegaze band but i guess I don't make the rules

LSD and the Search for God EP.
The album is hot garbage

LSD & The Search For God
Swirlies
Candy Claws (just that one album tho, Ceres and Calypso in Deep Time)

A few early Lilys tracks too.

because they're American and border on noise pop on some of their other tracks it seems.
Thanks for the rec though, seems really good

The Fauns
The Drop Seventeens
Fleeting Joys
LSD and the Search for God

Whirr

Teenage Filmstars

who isn't??? kevin shields could produce a one note drone album and it would be aoty

Kairon IRSE - Ujubasajuba

bump

Same can be said about Drop Nineteens, Adorable, JAMC, etc.
Just listen to that album and tell my why it isn't shoegaze. Kevin and Robert where buddies and that's why both albums came out at the same time with similar covers

Gotta go for Bowery Electric's "Beat." Has heavy elements of Trip Hop too.

Soda Stereo - Dynamo

This is an issue with many small scenes in the 90's, to a degree it's even the case with Seattle back then. One reason there aren't many truly good shoegaze bands is because the genre requires you to go full retard with the distortion and reverb which is something most people aren't into doing nor listening to, as demonstrated by the small popularity of the scene when it was new.

The next best thing after shoegaze is finding what a lot of those acts ended up doing later. Mojave 3 comes to mind, it's a great listen for those who are fond of Slowdive. Albums that are heavily influenced by shoegazr are fulfilling as well (Dynamo, Siamese Dream, Pikul).

Seconding Quique by Seefeel. Pretty innovative album in the whole "Electro-Gaze" thing.

>Electro-Gaze
time to drop obligatory pic related, got any other good ass jams???

Ulrich Schnauss is pretty cool if you're looking for more electronic kinda stuff.

Attached: soda-stereo-dynamo-vinilo.jpg (600x600, 96K)

Listen to their next album, it's pretty good too.

Attached: you-will-never-know-why.jpg (1280x1280, 589K)

The rest of sweet trips discography is all good, and then there’s that Deprecation Guild album that’s sort of similar

This tbqh

whirr is garbage

If you don't mind a bit of metal influence, Alcest and Sunbather are both high quality.

LSD and the Search for God is mediocre borefest

whirr
lsd and the search for god

I proudly shill In the Prescence of Nothing. It's a fantastic album. Not quite loveless, but very close.

pic related. its pretty noisy though.

Shit taste bros

alceste - souvenirs

Also, it aint really shoegaze, but Slowdive's Pygmalion is breathtaking. Essential if you're into later Talk Talk.

see

The remastered Pygmalion demo album is also a very solid Shoegaze album with electronic elements.

Also no one talks about Slowdive's "5" EP which is an interesting mix of electronic ambient music with Shoegaze.

Seriously? What's the beef with them? I think they make some pretty nice music.

You should check out Ringo Deathstarr and Astrobrite for some nice dreamy/noisey shite.

"shoegaze" gfs are just ugly thots who call themselves thicc (but theyre actually just overweight)

Swervedriver.

Not sure if shoegaze, but Drab Majesty has been my favourite discovery last year.
Pretty good for sure

Attached: cover.jpg (599x599, 98K)

i think they are less than kind people so people don't want to like their music.

i still think they are amazing though, sway is a super good album

Does anyone have that eastern European shoegaze band? I've been searching for a while for it.

youtu.be/I7Mhfeh9orY

zzz maybe not shoegaze but listen to this

Attached: BCBBBD31-2180-44EF-B402-3CFEB7C1B30C.jpg (500x490, 84K)

t. tranny

drab majesty is goth, not shoegaze

This album should really be up there with Loveless as a shoegaze classic. I like it much better than Souvlaki and anything by Ride.

Does this count?

Attached: Unwound_-_Leaves_Turn_Inside_You.jpg (220x220, 4K)

Not that guy, but it has more Dream Pop elements than Goth to be honest.
Do you believe there's only one eastern European shoegaze band? Which one? Pinkshinyultrablast, Blankenberge, Here, Ecstasy of St. Theresa?

Pinkshinyultrablast - Grandfeathered and Everything Else Matters.

not even close. it's post-hardcore

In the Dream of Sealife by Candy Claws is good dream pop though. Definitely recommend.

What the hell is post-hardcore?

Again, another shoegaze thread without anyone mentioning Bailter Space. C'mon Sup Forums.

>Good shoegaze that isn't slowdive

The only good stuff by Slowdive is ambient post rock, not shoegaze man

>not being able to describe the genre you just name dropped

the sleepover disaster

Ecstasy of St Theresa was the one I was spooking for, thanks user.

how come mu ignores new shoegaze so much?
lots of great shit dropped last year and so far this year

>being this pissy about being called out for being a lazy ignorant cunt

>STILL not being able to describe a genre that you just name dropped

Attached: MI0003278532.jpg (500x501, 38K)

Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasises a greater degree of creative expression initially inspired by post-punk and noise rock.

you're life is a mediocre borefest
