Let's try this again.

share sample based music, tips, inspirations, or just talk about things sample related.

everything shadow did pre the private press is great

SILY was better, but still a good album

whats a good way to get into sampling, any good videos on youtube on it? also what is a good sampler for beginners?

Look up "plunderphonics" and listen to John Oswald's album Plexure.

what drum packs you guys use?

Mine are all weak

The most overrated album in existence

Guys pls listen to my favorite album. It’s almost like SILY i promise pls
John Oswald may have arguably created and pioneered plunderphonics, but most of his stuff kinda sucks desu senpai. It makes for an interesting listen though.
Seconding this

Introducing who?

ah speaking of samples, can anyone tell me where the sample at the begining of this track is from m.youtube.com/watch?v=kxcgbzRTuo8

ive been through about 2 hours of bollywood films and trying to translate the lyrics from hindi (which they sound like they are in?)

if anyone can figure this one out they are literally a sample god

>it's almost like SILY
>Seconding weak drum samples

What? I think you misunderstood

No, I really think SILY is better

all the albums by RUI are sampling. most of them concept albums too. the black and white one ur supposed to listen on shuffle mode

i have the chance to get an akai mk2000xl or a maschine mk1 for really cheap. which one is better and is it even worth it? should i just stick with a midi keyboard and and my daw?

Who's the guy from the previous sample threads?
Had a soundcloud and would sample a lot of bits and make these cool non repetitive type beats.
I'm pretty much butchering it but he's been on my mind lately.

forgot his name too

anyone know where to find one of these?

im what so special about these? why would you want one if theres so many better and newer stuff?

psuedo intellectual?

yeah this was it

Can anyone rec me a decently affordable sampler?

eat shid

genuinely curious,
why would you/do you use an mpc today?

all of you are going to hell for sampling!

Why would anyone use an mpc today?

so i've been getting more into producing but im so shit at sampling. i think i understand this concept but just to be sure: if im taking samples from multiple different songs, do I just have to make sure that I stretch them all the same bpm to sound right?

Why are sample boys so mean to eachother?
Is it because nobody really knows that much about it and we don’t want eachother to find out?
