Iceland is literally poorer than Afghanistan and North Korea. (In case youre wondering who makes up the other 80 countries under North Korea, its basically Africa)

That list isn't done by population. There are 332,529 in Iceland and there are 32 million in Afghanistan.
Iceland's GDP per capita is 71 times larger than Afghanistan's
Because Afghanistan and North korea have like 40 mil and 20 mil people respectively, meanwhile Iceland has like 200k inhabitants.
GDP per capita is a better measurement of national wealth because it takes population into account.
China has more GDP than Japan but Japanese people are 5 times as rich as the average Chinese.
Even GDP per capita is a bad measurement of wealth to be fair. A lot of the things like free healthcare and other welfare things will fuck GDP rankings up.

The energy is dirtship and almost totally renewable (thanks to geothermy) so they have some special that would be economicaly inefficient outside of Iceland.
