Post a Show You Haven't Seen, Anons Confirm if It's Worth It

Starting with Banshee - I rarely see Cinemax shows mentioned here but they all look pretty interesting.

Yes user. Banshee is fantastic and season 3 especially is true kino.

Unfortunately the final season is so terrible and so different from the rest of the show. I'd honestly suggest not watching the final season, even though the show would end on a cliffhanger for you. Wondering what might happen is better than watching it.

Seriously, they all look pretty fun, and according to Blu ray reviews they're shot quite well.

Is pic related British 24?

Damn, that sucks. I know Eliza Dushku is in the last season so I'll still watch it if I end up liking the show.

No, don't do it to yourself.

24 without all the filler crap that show had, pretty much pure awesomeness.

Season 5 is a bit shaky because one of the two leads had an accident during filming, so they had to work around that.

The show is an action show with incredible characters and excellent writing. Each episode of the show in seasons 1-3 features a centerpiece action scene.

They must have really gutted the budget on this already low budget affair, because the final season is less episodes and features 0 action scenes. Yes, you read that correctly, 0. There's a gunshot fired here and there and a couple of small wrestling matches, but even weaker throwaway episodes from earlier in the show have more going on in any of there setpieces than even the finale of the entire show. Plus it does a lengthy time skip and changes up the structure of the show, the final season is kind of a serial killer murder mystery with heavy shades of the shittier seasons of Dexter. It is a complete farce and the occasional good moments with characters we've come to love is honestly just not worth the time.

Definitely check out the first 3 seasons though, the best "B" style stuff you'll ever see.

What about you guys, what do you have left on your lists to watch?

Cinemax obviously reduced the budget by a lot, gave them less time to shoot it, moved the production to another city all of sudden for some reason, shortened the already short number of episodes...

WTF happened? Who knows.

Either no one cares about recommendations or it's just really slow

That show is fucking great, Logan Marshall-Green should win every Emmy, Golden Globe or whatever memeawards the joos give to the best actor in television. His wife was hot too

i dont understand how you can hate season 5 if you think the other seasons were good.
ive seen all of it, and season 5 wasnt that bad.. but then again seasons 1-4 wasnt like amazing and brilliant either.. it was a fun show with action and hot girls and wast boring or bad enough to stop watching. this comes from someone who has given up on lots of show cuz they turned to shit or got boring

I only know that it was one of the biggest sitcoms of the 80's.

Been curious about this once since it aired. Worth it?

Here's what really happened

>Season 4 & 5 planned
>Cinemax/producers pull the rug out from beneath, say you've only got 1 more season to wrap it up
>cut episode order from 10 to 8
>Have to merge 2 seasons into one after you've planned (and I suspect, written) a great portion of the season

This as well.

Definitely worth it. Great show. Season 3 is up there with Black Sails s02 and s03 for best action in years.

This is actually pretty decent.

...

The kid is fucking annoying but everything else is solid as long as you enjoy wuxia/kungfu cheese. and it's only 6 episodes, go for it.

No. Pretty shit

I think he was talking about Banshee, not Strike Back. Banshee only had 4 seasons

haven't seen any of the Star Treks.

Watched the first few (4?) episodes. It failed to really engage me and make me keep watching. It was an interesting premise which is usually enough to keep me sat on my ass eating hot pockets but everything about it was just so bland and flat. Sometimes the production value felt shaky and at times the characters motivations felt silly.

Pass.

How is "Frontier" I'm seeing it shilled on my Netflix lately. Is it an original concept? It looks like a viking-esque """"""historical""""" cash grab which has me wary.

Best show that noone seen (everyone was busy watching the worst 2016 show, westworld)

I've heard the third seasons of this show is Kino, is this true?

Just gonna say watch banshee, you will not be disappointment.

Watch it, you cuck. Best show next to TYP last year. Won't be getting a second season because the only people that gave a shit about it, pirated it.

TNG and DS9 both get good in their 3rd seasons. Why so late? Who knows, but that's how it is.

watch it! there are moments of the show that are so great, the slow parts are worth it

what about this guys?

Banshee is fucking great

I got five episodes in before I lost interest, it's pretty schlocky and tends towards "smart people are basically wizards" bad writing

it's a bit slow but really good

heard it's good

it's also slow but good

It's really good, but I didn't like the ending of season 1, it didn't make any sense to me

Banshee is pure trash, but that's not to say it's not highly entertaining at times. Don't expect something serious.

There's some great fight scenes in there.

Thing is, it knows what it is. It knows it's pulpy b-television. And that was makes it so great. One of my favourite shows because of this. Black Sails is another fun show.

I didn't like. It's one fucking X-Files episode stretched to a 12 part season.
The murderer was mind controlling bugs off a woolly mammoth

I like campy 90's shows, how good is this?

Awesome, very underrated/overlooked/forgotten. Not sure how well it's aged though.

Been a while, but it had some really good episodes.

I don't mind dated shows, if anything I prefer them. It makes them comfier

downloading the complete series now

was great at the time

any good?

...

Watched it whole for some reason and i can't say that i wasted my time, but i also can't say it was great. Better Assassins creed adaptation than the actuall movie. Also i never skiped th opening because music was great.

we both posted same
spooky
is it good

Best sci-fi currently airing.

thanks user
gonna watch now
solarmovie

>we both posted same
I had no way of knowing, since I haven't watched it and the name is nowhere in your post.

if you're into hard scifi and can stand some not perfect drama, yes

aye
picked wrong image without title

Ray Donovan worth watching?

It's great. Watched it recently. Made by some of the people who did 24, but without all the shitty filler crap that dragged 24 down.

Merry Sue garbage

first 2 seasons are good. Then the showrunner/creator leaves and it turns to dog shit.

I don't know, but he has the puffiest face ever.

I've only seen the first two seasons.

One was pretty 'meh', but 2 really stepped things up.

I wish the show was more based around Ray's job (being a fixer for celebrities) than all of that family shit.

Are there any shows that do going under cover as fun / interesting as pic related?

I could watch Sam and Mike work a cover ID forever, shit was so entertaining.

I gave Leverage a go, but that didn't really click with me.

Drinker?

yeah, that would be great, but it's shit desu

I kind of want a The Departed mini-series or series like The Wire. Not shit though.

>Burn Notice
>7 Seasons
I genuinely thought it got cancelled after the 2nd for some reason and never bothered picking it up because of that.

I don't give a shit about it but I pirated it. Got a notice letter from Comcast so I already dislike the show.

>dat vietnam scene

Better action/war scene than anything I watched in theaters in 2016.

Second season confirmation when?

just finished first ep
awesome!

>but 2 really stepped things up.
they do that with each season, there was almost no bullshit family drama in the last season.
I think first season is the weakest and that Jon Voights character could have his own sitcom.

>Banshee
John Wick, the series (shoot em up and titties for the pleasure of 12 year olds and reditors)

> Into-the-Badlands
this: >only 6 episodes, main guy is annoying shitskin, but QT is topqt. Awesome beards. Edgy overall. season 2 will have more episode unfortunately.

great no-gravity simulation, and overal CGI and universe (except for Earth), uncharismatic main casts apart from 1 or 2, best space sci-fi nowadays

>great no-gravity simulation
amazing desu
how?

Was this a good Detective Kangz show?

>titties for the pleasure of 12 year olds and reditors

First season is the best, downhill from there. Not bad, just not as good.

Shite

Edgy London detective with a loudmouth

Detectives should come across as effortlessly authoratitive by their actions and instantly earn your respect that way (think Morse).

Everyone simply pandered to Luther like he was the second coming of Christ but he didn't do anything to warrant that respect.

The show is alright. If you like the first episode read the first book. If you think it's "okay" finish the season.

Has anyone read book 4? 2 and 3 were awful. What does 4 do to fix this?

>I've never watched it and think all detectives should be the same boring shit

next time just don't post.

Yeah, really good. Although I see there are 4 seasons, I can only vouch for the first 2 I watched

Villain of the week procedural crime drama shit
It's a platform for women 40-60 to ogle Elba like how Dr. Who and Sherlock are for deviantart tumblrtards 20-40 to shlick themselves to
Nothing any self respecting man would watch
Avoid

>liking to see other man breed on screen
thats called being a cuck, no?

if i want to wank it, there are pornsites for that, doesn't needed the cockteasing in every fucking show

IS THERE LITERALLY ANYTHING RESPECTABLE COMING OUT OF BRITAIN THESE DAYS

based review

watched 2 episodes and davinci is just a normie sherlock holmes or something dumb shit like that

It is a viking-esque historical cash grab, except worse because they use a fucking annoying kid as proxy to Momoa's character instead of using him the way Vikings used Ragnar.

>thats called being a cuck, no?
Yeah no you fucking retard it doesnt mean that jesus fucking christ kys

3 eps in
Reminds me of Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and Blade Runner
Quite enjoying it

I got rec'd The Americans. Not on Netflix anymore. Do I go torrent it?

Solarmovie bro

TYP?

the young pope
best thing on tv in ages
music
acting

how is it?

what is it about?

I gotta know bros

Is it good

What its about?

first 2 is pretty good

manipulative cunt fucks shit up in the political dc scene to get to the top

thanks user, gotta start this show in a few then

Thriller with nice cinematografy. Good stuff

1 and 2 are Kino.

All downhill from there.

Ruth Wilson carries the show, Idris is still great.

>british answer to the wire
Any merit to that claim?

>From the Creator of True Blood
>Alan Ball didn't create show and is one of about 8 exec. producers

they really wanted all those 15 year old girls to watch that shit didn't they?

is that kano?

Sherlock+Assassins Creed. AKA garbage.

Best new show of the past couple of years, for sure.

It's a conspiracy thriller with a wacky soundtrack (in a good sense) and great cinematography.
It's also properly fucked up without going over the top.
If you liked stuff like Deus Ex you will like this too.

Clearly your comprehension levels are not the best, I'm talking about a show with 4 seasons and you're rambling about some mysterious show with 5 seasons.

I'm talking about a show that changed up literally everything about it's final season, including a fast reverse on quality, so it's very understandable why someone wouldn't like it due to it being a) completely different and b) shit.

Never reply to my posts again you faggot.
