Are guitar shredders the dumbest musicians around? These people either have absolutely no sense of melody or just dont care. The only thing which they do care about is how fast they can play, how many notes can they fit into their wankfest. Shredders should just be executed on sight

The term came from jazz players. Surely they couldn't hear melody, right? I'm not fond of "shredders", but I'm all for a growing number of talented and dedicated people on any instrument.
