Just saw The Neon Demon and as I predicted, the Internet plebs that now run the online word of mouth were wrong yet again. Refn has crafted an absolute masterpiece, portraying the good of beauty and the evil of beauty clashing at each other. The innocent against the hardened. The good-hearted against the wicked. Neon Demon is a film of dualities and it is strengthened even further with Refn's excellent use of lightning, framing every shot with a sense of contrast.

This movie was total garbage, from the self serious tone to the abysmal overacting.
The story had zero substance. It merely existed to drive the film from one ridiculous scene to the next. This is dishonest filmmaking at its worst.
This film is so poor that it's sure to harm the careers of everyone involved with it.
TND is such a bad film that it has finally proven that Refn is an untalented hack who is unsure they to sit behind a camera.
The best way to know is someone has abysmal taste in film is to ask them if they like this movie, if they say yes then their opinion on literally everything else should be automatically discarded. You should even remove this person from your life.
