I also really like your Jazz picks, I was gonna say try Esbjörn Svensson Trio, but they're already on your chart, you're the fucking man. Awesome taste!
Perhaps you'll like The Bad Plus, Keith Jarrett and Lars Danielsson, he's got a weird style, but I like it Personally.
Also be sure to check out Jan Johansson, probably my favourite Jazz artist
Thanks for the recs
I'm already familiar with Pop Groups other material. I enjoyed Citizen Zombie quite a lot desu
That Igorrr cover is cool
>The Bangles
nice
good taste
>The Bad Plus
Already like them, they've got some great stuff.
>Keith Jarret
I actually put off listening to him a lot, should actually go for it.
>Lars Danielsson
Never heard of him, but apparently he's played with Bill Evans, so he's great.
>Jan Johansson
Huh, Swedish folk jazz mix. That's quite interesting, I'll give it a listen.

Yeah, Lars Danielsson doesn't quite fit my style, but he's got some interesting things.
Jan Johansson has a very simplistic style of jazz, but it is absolutely amazing (imo)
Btw, start with Liberetto III and Pasodoble for Danielsson
And start with Jazz Pa Svenska and Jazz Pa Ryska for Johansson.
I got the Apple Music free trial recently to see if it burns less battery so that's why I have a few repeats
+ Bjork, Kate Bush, Grouper
Songs: Ohia

Cocteau Twins
So uh someone donated $50 to Tapmusic which I very much appreciate, but I'm wondering if it's a typo they made. Either way, that's like 4 months of hosting bills right there so I'm hoping it wasn't a typo or mistake.

I've started listening to dark ambient and ended up on piano.
This "Reflections on a Dead Sea" is truly amazing.
Seems cool, which albums do you recommend listening to?
dark ambient and piano sounds like a match made in heaven, but most use of the instrument I seem to run into seems to boil down to "we tryna be Satie" which isn't necessarily bad but it's a bit disappointing.
also, what's some things you would recommend?
+fsa, smiths, m83
+labradford, bjork, outkast
+lcd
never been able to get into massive attack, which album would you recommend i start with?
+ornette coleman, daniel johnston
never heard of any of these, but i used to be really into ambient so i'll check them out
>but most use of the instrument I seem to run into seems to boil down to "we tryna be Satie"
Go listen to Satie then if that's what you're looking for
I agree
++ Duster, The KL, Fishmans
+ Mojave 3
Good chart, good taste
Update: it was totally legitimate, and now hosting is paid in full for the next 4 months!
I didn't mean to be rude to you and if I came accross that way I'm sorry. Satie isn't dark ambient, so while I do listen to him it's hardly the same thing. I was just curious if there were dark ambient records out there that utilized the piano in a different style, that's all.
shit nice
Didn't mean to be either, just kinda thought it was a bold statement. I listen to Satie too, play him even. So I know what you're talking about. However, I don't know any records with the style you mentioned. And honestly, I'd be interested in those as well. So let's await a relieving reply that recs some albums :)
(Not the guy of the chart)
Start with Blue Lines, then mezzanine, then either Heligoland or Protection
"Isolated" from Roberto Attanasio and "Reflection on a Dead Sea" are my essential recommendations to get into piano.
You may got the feeling the albums are some kind similar due to piano solo, I didn't browse far enough to find something too original or that I'd never listened before, but I can certainly say each of these albums got a different emotion and tries to pass it through the songs.
The closer mix I've found between piano and dark ambient was in Wordclock's works.
give me some recs
what recs if that's literally mucore, what can we base recs on if all albums are different? Listen to more music
So far I've only heard blue lines but it's a good starting place
>Avenged Sevenfold
Literally, kill yourself as soon as possible
Thanks, I'll gladly check it out.
Olivia Tremor Control - Black Foliage
The Replacements - Let It Be
Shabazz Palaces - Black Up
++Pink
+Glow pt 2, Tender Buttons, Just Say No
nice nice nice
idk any of this, looks sad
++Entertainment
+Is this It
+Head's Up
++Atrocity Exhibition
+Forever Changes, LCD SS, Fear of Music
By the way, if you're looking for something dark and ambient (without piano though) try listening to The Caretaker - An Empty Bliss Beyond This World. I love the atmosphere it has to it, and I think you'll like it as well (if you haven't already heard it).
>Hollinndagain
Cool, don't see that often.
Pretty good chart overall
such an underrated album. It reminds me a lot of Throbbing Gristle's live stuff, but psychedelic and nostalgic instead of cold and nihilistic.
Yeah indeed, it has quite a lot of 'feelings', or specific atmosphere to it in some way, which most people don't expect and don't truly appreciate of this album.
Great choice :)
