To be quite honest "Bliss" sounds so new-age'y too me it's almost bland. I don't know, maybe it's the VST's you are using but something seems to be off, a bit too "free domain music" feel.
You should try to play around with the sounds you are using, play with more dynamics. Go a bit less "lineal" too, it will do your music wonder. But hell, I don't know anything about music lol

Fishing For Good News is an album I wrote in July of 2017. It's a short, 15 min album that goes over the feelings I had during a rough patch in my relationship.

I will answer questions, and respond to everything. Thanks for listening if you do :)
(if you don't want to hear it all, i reccomend the track Waste Of Time and I'll Be Fine. Along with the 2 songs Hang With My Thoughts and Dignity, they are a two part song)

good stuff. Personally would have preferred the ambient synth (?) in the back of the first song turned down and the guitars a little thicker.
I enjoy all of your releases. You have a really distinct sound.
Peanut Butter Toast is sick
Thank you for the feedback. We're still figuring out the home recording and I have to agree with both of your points.
Christian Lovers - This is very good noise. Jamming out to A Bedroom in Peacetime right now.
if you're looking for well sounding homemade shit check Insömniax, but uhh don't blow everything out as much as he did
Thank you. I'll check him out.
i can send u a mega link to his 1st album, the 2nd is on YouTube but it's fucking ridiculous

Very interesting mix. Looks like they have a third album up on youtube as well now.
Can I get sued if I release an album that's pay-what-you-want but made of samples that aren't cleared?
realistically i don't think so. just release it with the disclaimer that you'll remove anything if asked to by the original artists.
if you're just an amateur musician having fun i don't think they'd have any reason to take issue.
depends on the laws of the country where the author of the sampled work is from
t. lawyer specialised in copyright
So what should I look out for before sampling a person's work?
What's that one album where every track is 10 minutes long and corresponds to all 26 letters of the alphabet?
Scaruffi gave it an 8/10
No easy way around it, the only thing that excludes any possibility of infringement is the author's permission. That, or falling under fair use, but you can't ask for money (which pay-what-you-want essentially is), and claim fair use.
Does Bandcamp still run on Free Tokens?

the WIP is too repetitive given how melodically redundant it is. Sure, the textures are somewhat interesting if you've never heard noise music before but it's played sleepily, has boring and lackluster effects the like of which melt-banana wouldn't make if they de-aged 40 years, and doesn't have enough melodic interest to be drone music.
I enjoy the production a lot. V cold and distant, but at once deeply personal and open, fragile even. The textures make it where the lackluster melodies might've broken it. Check out Hood, you might find some neat inspiration there.
Honestly no idea, I only publish original work on BC, never dabbled with samples.

waste of time is a nice song, i like it
My bands first single, I didn't end up adding vocals.
Nice. The intro reminds me of Rob Scallon's Rain.

reccs:
this is some great stuff man, makes me feel very peaceful. Great guitar work, and really nice voice. I also really like the field recordings (?) of birds. Hard recc.
I like the guitar work a lot on coldest day a lot, but the drum feels consistently out of time with the track. I don't mean to be rude, but it feels like it was played without any knowledge of the rest of the track at all. The guitar is great, however.
nice. people on these threads can over produce their stuff sometimes, but this really has perfect production. The song is nice, and it feels like it's present in the best possible way. good work.
holy crap man, this is really good stuff. Feels like some psychedelic cowboy music. really good stuff, will be listening to this a bunch.
usuall reccs:
Hey, I'm glad you liked Peanut Butter Toast. Your stuff looks pretty awesome. I'm planning on picking up a couple of your tapes this weekend. Do you ship to Canada? I noticed the shipping cost was $0 when I added them to my cart.
rip the thread I guess
