i never started

>actually reading pitchfork

pitchfork used to be good in like 2006

Who the fuck even does that?

>stop reading pitchfork
>drone ex-pitchfork writer

this

ott isn’t a drone

that’s the whole reason he got fired from hackfork, he wasn’t kowtowing to their ideology that music should be evaluated based on it’s social relevancy rather than, yknow, how it fucking sounds and shit

not what i was saying

pitchfork was a completely different site when he worked there

I never did tho.

tfw when p4k has basically lost all relevancy

That top 100 albums of the '90s list he made a while ago suggests otherwise. It's all the same shit you'd see on any other contemporaneous list (the top 50, anyway).

True, but people on him don’t respect him for his canons, but his videos.

ps : he actually started posting vids again last week.

People on here* canon* jesus...

>he actually started posting vids again last week

I have a feeling half of the people on Sup Forums dickriding Ott now have never even heard of him before he showed up here the other day.

Wasn’t aware of that anecdote. People used to spam his stuff on here a couple years back. Dickriding seems a little strong, too.

most people here

if you check when that list was originally posted it was back in 2003. i wonder what his list would look like today

more like 2003

Did Pitchfork even have any credibility to begin with? Imagine getting your music taste fed to you entirely from a corporate website

>Did Pitchfork even have any credibility to begin with?
No. They gave some Kiss albums a 10 way back in the day and then shat all over Belle and Sebastian. Those reviews got deleted a long time ago. I don't even like Belle and Sebastian but it's a joke.

>trying to remain relevant by attacking something that's irrelevant

between 2000-2004 or so Pitchfork was literally the tastemaker of indie music.

They are irrelevant today, but back then if you got noticed by P4K, it meant something.
