is wretched spawn the greatest cannibal corpse album?
wretched spawn was good, but kill is simply the epitome of Fischer's cannibal corpse
The only things on that chart that I admit are gay are Fit for a King and Powerwolf but the rest are straight as fuck
>meshugga
>koloss

listen to some Chaosphere and Catch thirty-three
>good death metal
early obituary
thanks
I like those albums, but I listen to music on Spotify. Chaosphere is too quiet and Catch 33 has the song timings wrong.
well fuck
not much you can do about that then
Good morning, nerds.
all cannibal corpse albums are in some way good
prove me wrong faggots
Music critic considered Metallica, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Venom, and Judas Preist to be Hard Rock music by today's musical standards.
>unless the guitar orientated music consists of growling and screaming vocals with breakdowns, it's not metal, it's just overly celebrated hard rock tunes
-Ben Cohen-Numan (Pitchfork)
It's kind of true though if you think about it. Go and ask anyone what metal is and they'll picture some 'screamo' metalcore or deathcore band. If you showed them Judas Preist, the normies would consider them a rock group.
The opinions of normies don't dictate anything
But they do though. It's the free market, and the buyers decide.
vile is a bit below good, but not bad either
otherwise you are correct, sir
lolwut
How exactly did the screamo meme become unanimous among normalfags? How did they come into contact with core shit and differentiate it from the staples of heavy/thrash metal?
If they're the best albums then there's no point delving deeper aside from that extremely rare jewel.
probably slipknot and other mainstream bands like RED with yelling vocals--I have heard fans of these genres also call the music "screamo"
but sometimes you get sick of the same album over and over and it's time to break out the second-tier stuff
plus imo there are plenty of classics that I think are overrrated to some degree and a fuckload of more obscure albums that I listen to as regularly or nearly as regularly as the classics
who /raw/ here?
ITT: metal merch that looks hella aesthetic
youtube.com
wtf I love wintersun now
Been out of the loop for a while. Has there been anything innovative in the last few years?
Thanks to the user a few threads back who rec'd this. What are some good other >female growls?
>never listened to Judas priest before
>friend drags me to see them live
I don't know how I never discovered them sooner
This was so close to be aesthetic tho, the main logo touches the main picture and the main picture is within a shitty photoshopped rectangle, so it doesn't cover enough space and ends up looking tiny and poorly placed, that's a cardinal sin for metal merch. also the right sleeve has not enough logos.
As of now it looks like a bootleg, and not in a good way.
>he didnt run around his school knocking over trashcans and pushing people while screaming BREAKING THE LAW BREAKING THE LAW
Judas priest was metal and gay as fuck bra
Why do people pretend this is better than their debut or Post Momentary Affliction?
also how did they ruin themselves that badly after PMA?
breaking the law sounds just as heavy as painkiller live it's crazy
Post metal bands with philosophical lyrics
And a good day to you, sir!
mr bones' wild ride hehehe
DsO will spam you with weird fringe ideologies in foreign languages.
Well, yeah, I gotta agree there. CC are pretty much the AC/DC of death metal. They haven't exactly been reinventing the wheel, but man, are they consistent.
But... unpopular opinion coming through: Tomb Of The Mutilated is let down by the vocals. Sure, Barnes manages to get some pretty damn low growls out there, but there's just hardly any power behind them, as if he's making those sounds right on the edge of his capabilities. The drums and bass drowning out the vocals on production out doesn't do much to help, either. Barnes' raspy shrieks on the album are killer, though.
FUCK
I couldn't stand Barnes vocals when he was with corpse. he didn't he vocals for some band called torture killer or something that was good though
this faggot doesn’t deserve to breath
jimmy nutron has a gf and i dont lol
even hitler had a gf.jpg
lol
>jimmy nutron has a gf and i dont lol
Don't get too upset, this is probably an cuck fetish arrangement.
metal cringe
The 90s are over you no longer need to pretend to like extreme metal now
I like both.
we don't. it's 2018, and we call it hard rock now
this is metal

PERVERSE HOMBLAHHHHH

I got my math teacher to play job for a cowboy by saying they were coutry
Yep, he did the vocals on Torture Killer's second album Swarm.
youtube.com
Back when he still got it!
Does anyone have this? I know parts of it are on JewTube but I'd prefer a download. There's a mediafire link on some blogspot that's no longer working.
Corpsegrinder albums get boring after 2-3 songs. Same tone and delivery. CC will always be remembered for the first 4, nothing after.
*bulldozes ur house*
Anaal Nathrakh if you actually manage to figure out the lyrics
dont' worry user, at least you're not a poser
(yes you are)
Barnes has never really been a good vocalist. I take that back, he was good on Eaten Back to Life, I'll give him that, but after that album he went downhill pretty quick.
>Vocalist cupping the mic
like pottery
Id agree with most of these but Remains of a Ruined Dead Curse Soul is pretty bad
Swallowed by the Oceans Tide by Sulphur Aeon would have to be my all time favourite death metal album
wrong
Pyrrhon. Sounds like typical technical stuff, but actually has a very different take on riffing. It's just very intense.
Second Deathspell Omega. They use god/Satan/man as like this way to approach nihilism and meaning, very much Georges Bataille inspired. It's on their "trilogy" as it's called (SMRC, Fas, and Paracletus albums.) Very cool cuz the music actually matches the themes as well rather than just being songwriting for songwriting's sake.
What are you eternal nu-males blastin?
What are other metal albums that harmonize lead guitar bits with a typical heavy riff like on most moments on Vektor's Terminal Redux? I noticed that this approach has given the album a lot of shit from purist types but I think it's kinda cool actually.
Fucking rips. Can't get enough of it. Riffs are fucking sick
Good raw black metal from USA
youtube.com
How is this so much better than every other example of slamming death metal. I just listened to Molesting the Decapitated and it's not even close. Even other shitty subgenres likedon't numetal and deathcore don't have this vast a divide between the crap and the one or two great albums.
So why do people on this board love to shit on this album in particular?
Great cover to boot
>on this board
Sup Forumstards loves it. Can't speak for others, but I feel it's okay at best, but ultimately nothing out of the ordinary black metal wise.
MtD came out in 1999 where the only thing close to that was Suffocations EotF. When Anomalies was in production not only they had more advanced eqipment to make the sound crystal clear the band had also a much larger spectrum of death metal to take influence from and create something greater.
Neat new black metal album from Germany, plenty of nice riffs.
youtube.com
>To be the opulent one
>In the grave, in the grave
>Could be the end of us all
>Gone away, gone away
it's heavy, but political metal doesn't work
I'd expect AntiFa punk
Most of the time it's banter (though it's autistic considering how much time people spend post soymemes just to slightly annoy others) mainly because it's so popular. I think it's decent. Their drummer is top tier as fuck, the production is great because it's raw without being muddy, but while some of the riffs are very creative like where they let ring individual notes to eventually have it become a chord, the tremolo bits are still too monotonous for me.
But what's on par with that album because ive listened to that Katalepsy album and that isn't even close in my opinion. Yeah that's pretty early for that sound on MtD. But I just hate how average the inhales are over the whole thing. Inhales are my least favourite metal vocal technique and the fact Matti Way can pull it off like he does is impressive. I can do some pretty decent to great roars but inhales are just a bitch if you've ever been a smoker.
