he's the downfall of the jedi

Qui-Gon was an asshole.

>Luke did I ever tell you about the time my master, Qui Gon directly deified the Jedi council when it came to trianing your father. Whom they correctly called dangerous and too old to be trained and directly lead to the Jedi purge and a Sith Lord taking over the republic? He was a bad friend to the council.

In addition to everything that's already been said, Qui-Gon also consistently used his Force powers to do blatantly amoral shit like:
Stealing from Boss Nass
Attempting to steal from Watto
Interfering in a bet he had with Watto in order to scam Watto out of a T-14 hyperdrive. At least, that's what I THINK the end result of that bet was.

the Jedi were going to eat shit anyway. they should have PUT HIM ON THE COUNCIL.

>kek

He was a Grey Jedi.

Qui Gon was like Luke Skywalker. He was a bit darker than the holier than thou Jedi. Maybe Snoke is Qui Gon

fuck was he supposed to do, swim through the core? His mission was to rescue the Queen, I would say using his mind powers on Boss Nass was warranted

I bet Qui Gon would've remembered the droid attack on the Wookies.

Most based Jedi

It's to show how hypocritical and blinded by power the Jedi had become at that point. If you watch the prequels with the idea that the Jedi are actually power-tripping assholes then you start to realize that Palpatine was right all along.

Didn't appear to Anakin when the guy was having problems that led to his fall to the dark side.

MADMAN.

Because he apostatized and converted to Buddhism.

as much as I hate the term, Qui-Gon was a "grey jedi" in its fullest sense. he lied, he stole, he manipulated... but for all what he perceived was the 'greater good'. he was just shy of murdering for what he wanted, but he never let the code of Jedi or whatever else from getting to his goal.

he was a legitimate jedi master but his moral ambiguity was a concern.

and a good friend.

Cause Qui-Gon saw how retarded amd flawed the Jedi Code was

>read a shit ton of books about Qui Gon and Obi Wan's adventures as a preteen and want to contribute informative posts to this thread
>all that shit is non-canon now

So we would clearly see that the Jedi were wrong and that Sheev was right and that he literally defeated Made Windu and the rest of the council in a Battle brawn and brains

Partly to explain why he as a master never sat on the council

>hat the Jedi were wrong and
do it anyway user

This was the proper way to train Anakin.

good, because it was all autistic as fuck rehash of the same "master gets into trouble and the apprentice saves them" trope, sometimes with the added wrinkle of one of the two feeling like they might quit the jedi order but the mission makes them change their mind
