Best Black Flag album?
The First Four Years, no contest.

They were edgy posers

The true red pill is their live gigs
>had their shit together enough to tour outside california
>become well known
>POSERS!
Family man
bay area bands that didn't tour outside california are way better though
Hollywood diary, shed reading and the b side are pretty cool
4th or 5th one, the one with several pics one guys holding a gun to his head, as you can tell i dont listen to black flag often
>live gigs constantly sparked riots with cops
>promoted underground bands like heck
>awesome artwork
>were well known and their logo was spray painted everywhere, even in Europe in the 80s
Awesome/10
They grew their hair long, played slow, riff heavy songs influenced by Sabbath and released an instrumental Jazz influenced EP. In the mid 80s towards the end of their initial run they basically did everything they could to distance themselves from the California Hardcore Punk scene because they found it limited and full of narrow minded morons. They were right.
>instrumental Jazz influenced EP.
Wait what ep was that?
Family, MAN. You're such a man when you're puttin up your christmas lights, first on the block
The process of weeding out

This is the album for all the Henry Haters.
(This and Everything Went Black)
Ironically, Henry said this was his favorite BF album of all time.

Live ‘84 sounds way better than any of their studio albums ever could due to the shit engineer they used album after album. Ginn’s guitar playing has a jazz imprpov element to it,Kira and Bill are tight as fuck and Henry is raw as fuck
Black Flag is shit, not even half as good as Minor Threat, and Henry Rollins is a power bottom.
