Stop listening to Tiny Moving Parts

I listened to their discography a couple times, and while I like a few standout songs a lot, I just find TMP exhausting to listen too overall. I don't know why, no other bands of the same genre do this to me. It's like they never slow down and I can't keep up, plus the dude's voice gets grating after a while.

Fantano hates most emo and never made it a secret. Personally I think their first album is great, the other three are really childish but if you're in the mood for it they can be pretty fun. Going to see them live soon, it might change my mind

listening to william bonney right now
really glad you decided to keep making these threads

FUCKING POOR ME
ALWAYS SUFFERINGGGGGG

solid choice, user. i'm glad some people still care even if this thread is often teetering on the edge of death.

i wish he'd just admit he doesn't like emo music and stop reviewing it. same thing with electronic music. they're obviously not his areas of "expertise".

I listened to Caution last night and thought it was quite nice :

Swell was not very good. I like some songs on This Couch but I don't really like them overall.

I got my copy of American Football '99 in this week. I'm ready to drink and be sad tonight.

Honestly the best way to make a general cancerous is to make it eternal. I like /emo/ this way.

I know it's a obvious pick but that is a god-tier "binge drink and obsess over every single mistake you've made in life and all your inaqeduacies" album.

I adore where the genre's come recently but there's something to be said about the staying power of the Kinsellas' early works. I listened to Cap'n Jazz for the first time in years and loved it just as much as the first time.

This looks like a viagra commercial

The only emo album that matters.

what's up with that new sorority noise ep? is it any good?

didn't even listen desu. the state of emo right now is such shit. Bunch of fucking babies for fans keeping us from superior artists (pinegrove) making good music and shilling their crappy feminist agenda like harmony woods crap.

FUCK DADS

yeah it's definitely in a rut. there was a bunch of talk of a new pinegrove album this week. supposedly finished already. not sure what's preventing them from releasing it.

pitchfork.com/news/pinegrove-say-new-album-is-finished-have-no-current-plans-to-release-it/

y tho

I thought it was because they're dicks and everything after radass is shit too.

that was the tranny from the world is spreading that. they eventually addressed that everything that was said was bullshit

i thought it was just a meme like the real emo copypasta

What have you been listening tonight Sup Forums

They keep coming up on the Google Play Radio and I can never get into them. I think I'll just have to sit down and plow through one of their albums. What comes most recommended?

this man is cool but his existence is such an enigma
people have sent him so much mallgoth shit too

Home, Like No Place Is There, alongside TWIABP’s Whenever, if Ever, is one the most significant Emo release in the past couple years.

Go listen to that one. With the house on the cover. And OPENNN THE CURTAINSSSSS

I only use my first pressing of Orchid - Chaos is Me to worship Emo Death God.

Here it is.

rework your reality, let the record play

Bumping

one of the few albums that had the effect of liking slightly less and less. loved it the first time when i listened to it though

moose blood is boring live. saw them once at a small venue and they just seemed so unenthusiastic and turned off by a moving crowd

lydia’s first album is fantastic

mccafferty are really fun live. i smoked them up at their philly show a few months ago and they played their new album for my friends and i. nick and i were talking about it a lot and he was excited to have mike sapone produce it. a

home like no place is there. goodness is also a phenomenal album. don’t know why but it took me 3 listens and when it clicked I LOVED IT

the new terry green LP is rad lads
youtube.com/watch?v=FIqau_3y-2A&t=1110s

pleb choice: home like noplace is there
patrician choice: goodness
contrarian choice: it never goes out

>contrarian - it never goes out
That opener though. God damn. Better than the opener on Home like noplace there is.

Then
>You can't fix this!
>You cant fix me, cause I'm sooo burnt out!

Is Brand New - TDAG Emo or not? It’s a masterpiece, but what is it?

>Dean Kuipers of the Los Angeles Times described emo as "guitar dynamics that explored both the softs and louds of punk in the same song with—most important—brutally confessional and even self-loathing lyrics"
This pleb says TDaG is definitely emo. That album has such deppressing lows and punishing highs with the classic emo lyrical content it'd be silly tonsay its something other than emo.

It's probably the most emo album they ever did: there's an unquestionable post-hardcore influence throughout that's missing from all their previous work & Science Fiction.

Is FfaF emo?
Also, I'm going my first (and hopefully not last seeing as how Cameron is putting them on an indefinite hiatus after this tour) Sorority Noise show in a couple weeks. What songs should I expect them to play?
