Listening to classical music raises your IQ.

no it fucking DOESNT so FUCK OFF
youtube.com/watch?v=d39-92i1NDk

Ok but learning a classical instrument raises your IQ.

Grieg, the cousin of the maternal grandfather of Glenn Gould

youtube.com/watch?v=pZZkxLY9uqc

highly doubt that as well

i have an abrsm lower class diploma in piano performance but i wouldn't expect myself to have a high iq

its just a skill like woodwork or upholstery

Did I say that learning an instrument gives you a particularly high IQ? No, I said learning an instrument raises it, as in makes it higher than it would have been otherwise.

Grieg's String Quartet No. 2

youtube.com/watch?v=CSJGXFm5y70

user confirmed for brainlet before he learned piano

136 here, is there any classical music that prominently features an accordion? It's my favorite instrument and I feel like it's often glanced over in terms of what it can really do.

Terrible string quartet, his Violin sonatas and cello are better

Why do you think it's terrible?

I don't know it never struck me like Borodin's string quartets, Franck's or Dvorak's. I don't care for the themes he develops or the double stops he uses so frequently

but what if they're performed by a qt3.14

post stuff you like that you found in a /classical/ thread

What's your favourite mass setting? Beethoven's Missa solemnis is fucking awesome in the literal sense of the word.

Swedish accordion, check out Lars Holm.
