Inept people playing classical music? Just watch some fail videos on YouTube. You don't become a composer or a performer if you're at that level.

>youtube "composers"

K, that was hilarious to read.

Anton Bruckner

hackiest of the hacks

I want to say Bassanti or Czerny but there'll be someone who likes them, I guess.

Czerny is fine. Certainly no master, though.

Mahler, Babbitt, Stockhuasen, Crumb, Schoenberg, Beethoven, Wagner

kys

You forgot the Ferneyhough guy, you know the one whose music sounds like people moving furniture.

depends on who you ask - general historical consensus is he was one of the greatest romantic composers of all time. Some disagree and find his music drawn-out, overblown etc.

Basically anyone who began working after WW2 isn't worth paying attention to.

I would say anyone working before WW2 isn't really worth paying attention to.

Paganini and Puccini are complete hacks and only retards like them.
I'll give some credit for Paganini advancing violin technique but that's it.

Have you actually listened to Paganini? Or did you just listen to his 24 caprice and call it a day? The guy was a genius through and through, still to this day nobody has come close to him in terms of technical ability and melodic control over the violin, and i doubt anyone ever will. Oh and he was also a virtuoso of the guitar, calling him a hack is fucking disgusting

Yes, I've listened to him.
His guitar music is disgusting. Also his concertos.

Mozart. X axis is IQ, Y axis is enjoyment of his music. The curve is standard Gaussian.

is that shit ironically unironic?

Idk i think his music is very interesting once you are able to pick up on what's going on. His music reflects his childhood in a creative way, and I love how much he messes around with structure in a multitude of different ways based on the work to try to mess with the listener's perception of reality.

why are brass players anyway?

huh?
