Rec's welcome.
Decent taste.
Have you heard 151A by Kishi Bashi?
I'm not a fan of many of those, but you have a very identifiable taste.

What's wrong with Interpol?
Telepopmusik-Genetic world
Thanks for the rec.
& There's nothing wrong with interpol, but I'm rather neutral on them. Just kind of boring sounding in my opinion, but they're not bad.
Just not really my type of thing.
Screenshot since Topsters2 seems glitchy.

+King Gizzard

What's Chinese Football like?
+Cocteau Twins
Hmmm, heard Sigur Ros get tossed around here but dunno how to get into his works.
Chinese Football is just American Football but more Midwest Emo and Chinese lyrics scattered around. Quite an interesting EP.
I came across it by chance on RYM today, will have to listen now.
For sure check out Ágætis byrjun and from there for the most part their discography is pretty homogeneous
couldn't render a 7x strangely
literally who
why the fuck would you make that chart
I genuinely wonder what you mean user
entry level metal on mu. literally 8th grader metal
gary wilson - you think you really know me
have you heard brian leeds's new album as pendant?
I mostly ignored music growing up. Since discovering death near the end of HS I've been slowly checking out the essentials and whatever else that interested me for the past few years.
Post something better if my taste is so shit rather than leaving a lazy quip.
i gave it a listen about a month ago. i had some pseud thoughts on it afterwards, may as well share them:
i consider it to be very immersive. i almost achieve the same degree of synesthesia that i usually find in "structures from silence", and i think that's rather important for ambient music.
achieves some very beautiful textures that while not incredibly emotional are definitely a genuine innovation. usually i find as ambient music contains more sine i tend to associate it with eroticism in some way, but this just felt incredibly oriental and warm. the palette reminds me a lot of steve reich. i really appreciate that, also the way it's refined and the incredibly subtle introduction of new parts to the rituallistic web of sound. despite all this, i would never consider it to be an overall important contribution to ambient music, even though it is a sound and innovative release.
Holy shit i drank too much-edition

Man Bites Dog - Noir

How tf you got all them godspeed off-shoots but no Fly Pan Am??
explore them, cuz they worth it
i get the impression that if he has The Ape of Naples on his chart he's probably heard of Throbbing Gristle but prefers Coil
dawg, i'm having a coil renaissance over here. i used to only really like Ape of Naples, but i'm revisiting Black Antlers and Horse Rotorvator and realizing i need to polish off their discog.

"Drugs Drugs Drugs" and "I'll Remain As I Am" are classics. There are others of his I like too, like "Yummy Yummy Pizza" and "Does Anybody Know I'm Here" that you can find on other albums and around the internet.
Check out Num-Heavymetalic by Number Girl if you haven't. People don't usually site this as their best, but if you like MasuDore then that's the one to start on I think. Also eureka by Kinoko Teikoku and their other earlier albums.
Also as an unrelated other rec, check out below the baseline by Ernest Ranglin.
Landshark was killer! It was punky and it felt like they poured their hearts into it. Reminds me of the dead milkmen but more hardcore. Fav Tracks: Destroy the Handicap, Law and Order
Rate the Zappa and Beefheart
Loving the fishmans and interpol
Tears for Fears for life
Recs would be appreicated
Check out Dopethrone and Sleep for some early Sabbath-esque stuff. Check out Darkthrone and Ulver's 1st and 3rd albums for some stuff like Mayhem, also maybe Burzum.
Random mix of recent and all-time favs
++++M.I.A., Bowie

>the sword in top10
yikes
Good taste, I'm a big fan of practically everything on here.
outside of brand new, lorde, MCR, we have like opposite taste.
fun. makes me nauseous
AOTY's 1988-now
I think this chart might be a bit old, phoneposting atm
++++SHISHAMO 3
first time I've seen someone else with it on their chart
Natalia Lafourcade - Hasta La Raiz
Three Avenged Sevenfold albums in your top ten? That's kinda a yikes my brother.
Baroness - Red Album
you don't get to complain about a7x when you've got meme acts like lemon demon and protomen in your chart
>plebs calling out plebs
the main issue is he has the *wrong* a7x in his top 10
stage and nightmare are far inferior to s/t and waking the fallen
idk man music is subjective. Maybe he listened to the Stage as his first child was born or something so it's a really powerful and emotional album for him.
that's true, i should probably give the stage a deeper listen.
a7x is a genuinely special and underrated band.
pardon the lazyposting im drawing a blank as far as recs for whatever reason today
Yeah, I'm not a huge fan but I'm pretty surprised that they're shit on so much. They have some great tracks here and there. The Stage was pretty good, if I remember correctly. Solid but not amazing or anything, I should check it out again as well.
>Number Girl
Yeah, love them. Num-Heavymetallic and School Girl Distortional Addict are all masterpieces. That said, I do prefer Zazen Boys in the overall grand scheme of things. Nice taste in prog too, great genre. Have you given 9mm Parabellum Bullet a listen? Given you like Number Girl and Mass of the Fermenting Dregs (which they've toured a lot with), you'll enjoy them, I reckon.
>another Shishamo fan
Nice, I've been a fan of them for about a year now, I reckon. Great power pop. Have you given Polkadot Stingray a listen?
who cares if you lazypost you're keeping the thread alive by bumping it. Only soyboys with sensitive feelings get triggered by lazyposters.
I listened to Discovery and god damn, I think I like bleep bloops now
thanks for the support ig, but it always helps to keep the conversation going as much as it does to keep the thread going.
if you haven't already check out Aphex Twix, BoC and Autechre for entry level bleep bloops desu
I'm gonna listen to Justice next
>he can't appreciate meme music
get out
I don't care about which ones they are, or really the fact that its a7x at all, I hate seeing people clog their charts with tons of albums by the same few artists.
No, I haven't heard of Polkadot Stingray, but I'll give it a listen. The first song on Shishamo's first album was randomly in my Spotify discover weekly one day ~6 months ago and I liked it a lot. I haven't really gotten around to looking for similar stuff though.
polkadot stingray is p good, but the single is the best from their lp
not bad, may i suggest less memes and ween
Ween is in my top 3 artists, so that won't exactly be easy.
