"bad on purpose"

>Kendrick's DAMN comes out
>most people realize it's shit but fanboys and p4k drones continue to say 'the production and rapping sound bad on purpose!!'

>LCD Soundsystem's American Dream comes out
>most people realize it's shit but fanboys and p4k drones continue to say 'yeah it's awful but it's done ironically so it's interesting!!'

>Talk Talk's "Laughing Stock" comes out
>genuine post-rock fans hate it, fanboys and p4k drones continue to say "boring on purpose, that's the appeal! emotionally dishonest music can be just as good as sincere music!"

When will this meme end? Whatever happened to genuinely good music?

>emotionally dishonest
Opinion discarded

HEY HEY HEY YOU FUCKING PIECES OF SHIT
GIVE ME THE FUCKING GIF SHE HAD ON THE FUCKING BAD BLOOD VIDEO, RIGHT NOW I FUCKING NEED THAT SHIT.

You do realize that the Pitchfork review for Laughing Stock came out 20 years after it's release and that the album was already considered a post-rock classic at this point ?

You should define what a "genuine post-rock fan" is, just for the sake of us plebs. Also no one ever praised the album for being "boring on purpose" or "emotionaly dishonest" (whatever that means), that's really just your opinion.

>Whatever happened to genuinely good music?

How does that even relate to the rest of your post? You mean that because Pitchfork gave 3 albums you don't like positive reviews there's no more good music out there? Dude, I don't even... Wut?

Talk Talk literally invented post-rock, who were the "genuine fans" before them?

Are you seriously lumping Laughing Stock with DAMN. and American Dream

I'm not a fan of this OP, not at all!

After the Flood is the best song of all time, prove me wrong.
