Both of them are pretty good. I'd go for Portugal vs Swaziland

>not watching both

watch both

Netherlands needs 7:0 to stay in a world cup fight, no point in watching this.

What does Portugal need to do to qualify directly?

Win will be enough hecause of goal difference.

Netherlands v Sweden has 0 importance unless France chokes vs Belarus, in which case just watch that instead.

portugal switzerland obviously

Watch us get our revenge.

Portugal-Switzerland
Netherlands needs a 7-0 win to have any chance of going to the WC

Netherlands Sweden is pointless

>Netherlands needs a 7-0 win to have any chance of going to the WC
>Netherlands needs 7:0 to stay in a world cup fight, no point in watching this.
And that's just for the chance of play-offs?

Yes. They are currently 3rd place in Group A, behind France and Sweden.

Yup the42.ie/sweden-luxembourg-8-0-advocaat-3635387-Oct2017/

i'd watch portugal

Why is it that Netherlands, France and Sweden got all put in the same group while Belgium, Poland and England face a bunch of memes?

Was wondering the same.
The seeding must have been based on some really shitty metric like the FIFA ranking

I don't understand. Belgium, Poland and England are all a lot stronger in the recent years than Sweden and Netherlands.

Do you want AC Milan in the Champions League because of muh nostalgia too?

because netherlands was trash

Netherlands missed the last Euro. They are a third-rate team now. Sweden are a second-rate team. There is nothing amiss about that group.

They put the teams in 6 pots of with 9 teams teams in each pot except for the last pot. In pot A they place the 9 highest ranked teams, in pot B they put the next 9 highest ranked, and so on.
They then take a team from each pot to create a group to try to make it as fair as possible. It just so happens Sweden is playing better than their FIFA rank

Any kind of rankings that says that Romania is a better team than Italy and France is completely wrong and should not be used anymore.

FIFA Coca-Cola Rankings. Whatever gets those Gypos to watch the games.

Poland's situation is weird. They made it to a Euro Cup quarterfinal but ended up in pot 3. Then they get drawn into a group where they are the favourites anyways.

This ranking gives way too much weight to the past 2-3 years.
Romania was unbeaten during the Euro 2016 qualifiers, as an example, that where their current ranking comes from.

kek

>Romania was unbeaten during the Euro 2016 qualifiers
Yeah, a group with Northern Ireland, Hungary, Funland, Faroe Islands and Greece.

It seems like these rankings value more wins against meme teams than actual tournament performances.

This ranking is laughable.

He's not saying they're shit or even not above Sweden and the Netherlands, just that the other teams in the groups of England, Belgium and Poland are shit(tier than Sweden and the Dutch).

He's just a butthurt Rosenborg blatte pissed that the Swedish national team isn't all Zlatan now. Ignore him.

They actually do.

We have been unlucky with qualification groups during the last years.

Our last WC qualification group = Germany, Sweden, Austria, Ireland, Kazakhstan and Faroe Islands. Thats a guarantee win for Germany, and a hard battle between three decent teams in Sweden, Ireland and Austria (Austria were much better a few years ago).

We then faced Portugal in the extra playoffs, after fighting to get that 2nd spot behind Germany, only to get eliminated by TSUUU-explosion.

We have had some OK groups, but never any good/easy. Most often hard groups and extra playoff opponents.

>FIFA Coca-Cola Rankings
>Coca-Cola
nice shilling

bumpy

The first is probably a great game but the second actually matters

Except that France is also a second-rate team

because sweden is not as good

If we beat Switzerland we go through directly, otherwise it's playoffs for us. This match has insane potential for some TSUUU webms

>Except that France is also a second-rate team
WE WAZ FINALIST IN THAT LAST EURO SVEN

W-what happens if you lose to meme teams at a major tournament?

You don't want to watch Sweden. They are _TERRIBLE_ at soccer.

>implying Netherlands and Sweden are the memes in their group

Fite me irl

>Euro qualifying
there's your fucking problem, you should be watching conmebol

HEY SWEDEN

HOW R U

>they didn't elo boost like the belgian NT did the last couple of years.

lmao tactical genius Marc Wilmots strikes again.

That has to be the worst way of carrying someone ever. Hope he pops his shoulder

Watch TSUtugal vs Switzerland
Its a high stakes game, and Punished Fernando Santos is going for the revenge

It's the logical choice. Netherlands have to score 7 goals, which isn't happening. And it being must win for Portugal should allow Switzerland to just set up on the counter and show their strengths there.

Because FIFA or UEFA or both are fucking stupid.

The draw was made before the Euros, you know, that little tournament to determine who is the best team in Europe. The Netherlands are the top seeded team in that group believe it or not.

To make things even worse, the draw was made before Kosovo and Gibraltar were FIFA members, so at the beginning 7 groups were of 6 teams and 2 groups of 5 teams. They wanted the most popular teams to play more matches, so they would only be in groups 6 teams and have more money (Spain, England, France, Italy, Germany and Netherlands). That makes more probably to have those teams in the same group because they only have 7 possible groups instead on 9. And that's why France and Netherlands are in one group, and Spain and Italy are in another. That's not a conspiracy theory, here's the UEFA link.
