Darkness, Driven to Tears, and Tea in the Sahara
Message in a Bottle and Invisible Sun.
Good band but not great. Walking On the Moon and Can't Stand Losing You are my favourites.
Sting is kinda wack. Great bass player though.
good music, great drummer
Peanuts and Masoko Tanga
Used to be my favorite band as a young kid.
They're pretty good. Canary in a Coalmine is probably my favorite by them.
My favorite band. We had a real comfy thread about them a few days ago. While they don't have a perfect album there are a few that are 9/10s. Zenyatta is their best album and a contender for best album of the 80's and Bring on the Night is their best song that's not a single. Stewart Copeland is a beast.
One last point that I can say really impresses me: they have some of the best musicianship and production values in pop music and yet it was always just the three of them and an engineer.(with the exception of Every Little Thing She Does is Magic)
>Stewart Copeland is a beast
This
What an amazing drummer
Probably a top 10 band for me. First three albums are all nearly 10/10s. Favorite songs are Can't Stand Losing You, On Any Other Day, Bombs Away, Invisible Sun, and Fall Out.
I love The Police and Stewart is a machine on drums. His video with Reverb was great.
The Biggest Band In The World in their day yet weirdly often absent from discussions of "80s music".
Really interesting and did something different with the rock trio than just thrashing away.
I Can't Stand Losing You, Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, King of Pain.
O My God is my favorite.
The Police deserve more respeck on their name.
Walking on the Moon
Driven to Tears/When the World Is Running Down
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
Invisible Sun
Darkness
King of Pain
Wrapped Around Your Finger
It's really hard to keep them under 10, never gave it a thought before.
I like their music if it comes up on a station or playlist. You can't just not listen to the drums in Message In A Bottle.
The bass is sounds pretty cool too desu
Copeland is a hilarious and good-natured guy too, I really hope to have the pleasure of meeting him one day.
This is very true and interesting, they're by far one of my favorite 80s band but everyone forgets about them when discussing the 80s.
Regatta de Blanc is such a sick pump-up song
It's weird. I blame MJ. They may have knocked Thriller off the top of the charts for 4 months but Thriller was so massive it made the Police's near Beatles level popularity look small.
He's a little crazy but he's always great in interviews. Hell, all three of them are great in interviews. I'd like to meet all of them, but especially Copeland.
We had this thread a while back
>That being said.........
Fallout
Nothing Achieving
Landlord
Dead End Job
First two albums
Everything after Zenyatta Mendatta is fine, but I tend to gravitate towards the early stuff more, than the post 1980 material.
