Watching your kino on a tiny screen

>watching your kino on a tiny screen

What size screen do you watch your kino on, Sup Forums?

Pics would be a bonus.

>non-mobile posters

Die already, grandpa

...

>VLC

kill yourself, dumbass

I watch movies on my iPhone, it's convenient.

yo hmu, what should i use?

I usually watch two movies simultaneously, one in speed 0.5 on my big screen and one in 1.5 on my phone as an equalizer.

55" samsung in my bedroom

Size of the screen is just one element.

Size, quality of the screen, screen placement, and a quality audio setup with a preferably acoustically treated room.

When downloading a torrent, I don't even look at video specs anymore, just audio. Audio takes up a huge amounts of file size so cutting audio is the most convenient thing to do because normies don't care if the audio is atrocious 96kbps.
If the encoder bothered to leave the audio decent, than the video is 99% on par with it.

Buying blu rays only when I really love a movie, not just anything.
And I use MPC-BE.

mpc

redpill me on it :^)
im not convinced

Go fuck yourself then.

It's just stable, simple, no codec problems, no unnecessary cosmetic updates, no frame rate problems etc

bruh
thanks, while i appreciate this, i feel that vlc has those same perks, is there anything you believe makes it stand out?

42" samsung 250 WATT soundsystem

Wish I had a proper home theater, including a kitchy theater lobby with popcorn machine and all.

mpc-hc or mpv

mpv looks interesting, trying it out rn. thanks kind user

65 inch lg plasma
5.1 surround

>there are non-OLED plebs itt

Some people actually use VLC to watch movies. Fucking disgusting.

VLC truly is the cockroach that won't die

what's so shit about it?
t. vlc user

i watch pretty much everything on a 15.6 inch laptop.I have a big TV but too lazy to connect the laptop to it,so yeah..

Shit quality upscaling, no features to ensure "perfect playback" without repeated frames and motion judder. Shit subs. Just few major flaws that came into my mind, there is much more.

Not a videofag so I can't tell you technicals, but side by side, I've enjoyed MPC-HC much more.

It was originally designed for network streaming, and it has a lot of nice features for that, including syncing with other vlc instances so you can play music on multiple systems.
It's a bad standalone player, and it's flaws are more obvious on large screens or non-windows computers. I switched to mpv on my linux computer, and that fixed the screen tearing, contrast, color, and other problems.

So that's a Lynch not a cat?

The biggest problem is its designed to stream without codecs. So every time a codec updates or VLC updates, new problems are introduced or old problems resurface. Because the developers don't have any idea what they're doing.

Which wouldn't be an issue if MPV wasn't doing the same job, 200 times better, at a tenth of the file size.

>tv plebs

>he doesnt own an hd projector

I watch my kino on 1/4th of my 13" laptop screen. I'm a pleb though so who cares.

MPV seems better than VLC. Thanks.

Wait until you discover how it can play all the videos from all the websites you visit, including those dirty porno sites.

Make sure to use some high quality upscaler like Jinc and video-sync=display-resample for perfect playback.

Hmm?

I don't know what you mean?

MPC won't fuck up your audio like VLC will.

stranger than paradise? my nigga

It plays all the video that you play in your browser, once you configure it properly.

that some linux only magic?

It works on every OS.

Do you use Firefox?

40 inch 5+1 for films, 13inch laptop in bed for TV shows.

55" 4K LG OLED. The inky blacks make me moist.

Guess I got some googlin to do.

I put the films I want to watch in a pendrive and then connect it to the TV

>55" 4K

So when did your parents tell you you're retarded?

I rent movies with Google Play money earned from surveys and stream them on my Chromebook.

hey, maybe he just could be sitting two feet away from the screen when he watches his kino

if VLC is so bad, then why does the Sup Forums wiki recommend it?

add youtube-dl to the same folder as mpv and then download an extension like "open with" for Firefox to open links in mpv.

Now your mpv will play youtube, livestream, vimeo, etc with a right click.

It's an old listing. We have to take that out.

When you bought your HD cell phone

See here

for me the perfect media player is windows media player. I used vlc and mpc in the past and both have playback issues with hd movies, wmp for me has surprinsingly a good image quality with hd.

>i'm rude for compensate my tiny penis

you sound gay

As much as I love Lynch, "phones" have come a long way. iPhone 6s Plus w/ a bluetooth speaker in bed is comfy, crisp viewing. The "tiny" screen is relative, not much different from looking across room to tv.

>all this bullshit
>probably watches movies on a regular tv with regular stereo

Just this. Decent screen for the size, but only using it because I'm working away from home for a few months. My home set up isn't amazing, just a 32" but at least I have a soundbar there, have to use headphones with this because the internal speakers are crap.

Do you live in the 90s in your mom's house?

Christ you reek of poverty.

get real

A six year old, 40" Samsung HDTV.

It just werks. For torrents I put the file on a flash drive and plug it directly into the TV, I stream Netflix on it via my PS3, and I stream Youtube on it via my smartphone linked to my PS3 over wifi.

I need to get some speakers though, the sound quality is absolute shit.

>For torrents I put the file on a flash drive and plug it directly into the TV,

At least this is better than when people actually connect HDMI to their laptop. Fucking fags.

>He watches media on something other than a TV, sitting somewhere besides a comfy couch or recliner

Why would you sit through a two and a half hour movie in a computer chair, jesus christ

I fucking wish m8, I'm paying £750 a month on rent.

I've been moving around a lot with work, not been in one flat longer than 6 months since 2014, so I don't keep anything that I can't fit in my car with me. All my shit is in my parents' house.

I mean I could spend money and time fucking around with streaming from my PC, but imo there's no reason to do that. Even the best wifi and streaming fucks up occasionally, copying the file onto a flash drive takes barely any time and there's a 100% guarantee of no fuckups while watching it, it's such a nice feel to know there will be zero technical difficulties.

I do it via ethernet from the box that torrents for me. My entire torrent collection plays with just a remote.

Nice

92 Inches. Who else projector here?
