Mirror Reaper was great, probably my AOTY from 2017.
It's been years and i still need to listen to The Avalanches.

Attached: collage (1).jpg (1250x1250, 902K)

dude i never thought i'd asked but isn't this a bit too much jeff?

great taste
you must be an amazing lover and conversationalist
recs:
...bender - ...bender
Piano Magic - Ovations
do you like Crescent?

John Galm - Sky of No Stars
Eгop Лeтoв - Bepшки и кopeшки

wow you are pretty cool too
do you like early Crime & the City Solution?
also, Matt Elliott - The Broken Man

v. good taste in Jamies
listen to
Matthew Sawyer & the Ghosts - How Snakes Eat
Momus - The Poison Boyfriend

Attached: collage.php.jpg (1250x1250, 586K)

I like your chart too, that's probably my favourite Mount Eerie record. Great Cohen album too
>Crime & the City Solution
I've never given them much of a listen but from what I've listened to they're pretty good. Haven't they had like, 4 completely different lineups?
>Matt Elliot
Big fan of the guy. He seems to be gaining a bit of traction on this board too

Attached: kFrHqqW_d.jpg (640x491, 23K)

I only like the very earliest punk blues stuff by Crime & the City Solution (The Dangling Man, Just South of Heaven, Room of Lights)
I tried listening to their later records multiple times, but found them boring and inoffensive
Hugo Race is another interesting artist from the same milieu; again, I would recommend starting with his first endeavor (Rue Morgue Blues)

btw you should absolutely check out the band ...bender which I recommended to the OP

4x4 of last 7 days

most of these are new to me. I guess I know too little about metal.

post-punk is cool. never bothered with Interpol outside of the debut, though. have you tried Wire (particularly the album 154)? I'll wager you have, but if not; it might be up yr alley.

glad to see Dawn is becoming some sort of underdog champion within Elverum's discog. it's my personal favorite of his (which means it's one of my all-time favs by *anyone*). have you read the book?

Attached: collage.php-4.jpg (1000x1000, 509K)

actually, my own personal favorite is No Flashlight, but Dawn is very nice too
I wasn't aware there was a book
where does one acquire this book? it appears to be OOP
are there any electronic copies made for personal archival purposes floating around?

also, can someone recommend me some clarinet-based music
I recently discovered I love the sound of clarinet

Attached: Monkeys-ride-capybara2-10102012-jpg_115147.jpg (1280x956, 304K)

I didn't know it was OOP. that must've happened quite recently. I'm quite certain it's never been released as a .pdf, and so buying a physical copy 2nd hand is likely to be the only way.

so was she (and so was i) (am)

I love the gathering and kari albums if you want some nice female vocals, if you just want some nasty industrial brighter death now and in slaughter natives, for some metal the judas priest, manowar and arghoslent is pretty classic.

Mournful Congregation
+Candlemass, Danny Brown, King Gizz
+Swans

I'll check this out after class, it looks interesting.
>aube- flood-gate
I love everything aube
>are you a fan of Gate or Ashtray Navigations
I've heard "the dew line" by gate although I don't really remember it very well. I've not heard ashtray navigations, is there a particular album I should start with?

Attached: topsters2 (1).png (1488x1485, 798K)

>do you like An Autumn for Crippled Children?

I do now

check out "ashtray navigations use copenhaven 69 guitars and park drive circular effects pedals exclusively" and then skip around their discog
check out Lounge by Gate and listen to dew line some more too

i've only heard grey daturas self titled but i'll listen to that one and the other album you said
you'd like this album too
youtu.be/lHCA3BzaetI

nice

i think their older stuff is more atmospheric black metal and they got gradually more blackgaze over their discography

if you're looking for album recs, Only the Ocean Knows and Try Not to Destroy Everything You Love are good albums halfway between the two sounds

>> is that a plague doctor
I think it's more of an animal skull head thing

thanks for the recs, nice industrial person

>>wow someone admitting they like Bohren?
are you implying there's something shameful about listening to Bohren?
I'm not super crazy about them, but they're playing live here and I played Black Earth for my girlfriend to ask if she wants to go to the gig (she said no because she doesn't like large venues, but that's ok, because neither do I)
I wish dark jazz was an actual large genre and not a novelty scene made up of five or so bands

>>have you heard richard youngs or the space negros
I have heard neither, but I promise you that I will do so very soon
you can count on it
also nice Movietone

Attached: noblet_devil.jpg (783x1215, 364K)

i feel like i recced you something last time but i can't remember what

raise the mark

i haven't heard that full of hell indont think hows it

you havw shown me a lot of good stuff im sure whatever it is is on my computer right now

my dad is dead - the taller you get the shorter you are
the vaselines - the way of vaselines

Attached: collage(25).jpg (1250x1250, 1.06M)

What Skullflower should I start with? I usually pick by album cover but they're all pretty good.

last shot at heaven would probably suit you

Attached: topsters2 (1).jpg (2181x1485, 471K)

Whole chart is 10/10 to me
