UMMMM...actually, the Jazzmaster and Jaguar were the most expensive and premium guitars Fender made in the 60s, therefore they're the BEST. Strats and Teles were considered old and didn't become cool again until the end of the 60s when dadrock icons like Hendrix and Clapton brought them back into style with their shitty dadrock.
Barrel saddles are aesthetically pleasing but shit for intonating

I actually don't have a problem with the offset body. It looks kind of cool. It's just that I hate small (sum-25.5 inch) scale lengths, and it's impossible to get a sound I like out of a Jazzmaster compared to a Strat or a Tele.

Moot point since real men always place function over form.
Adam Torres
I'm only offended by the barrel saddles.
Oliver Russell
>tfw this gay walks into the club with a Fender case >tfw you already know know its an offset or a Tele >he opens it up and pulls out...
there was a Squier Cabronita tele with bridge single coil and neck filtertron AND bigsby at one of my local shops, god I wish I'd bought it but it got away \-:
The perfect jazz pickup. I recently found out that the Squier Classic Vibe 50s tele has a P90 routing in the neck. Will pick it up for modding. Tele and P90 is perfect.
>new strings on Friday >already corroded between the 5th and 10th frets from practicing the solo from comfortably numb and some SRV licks the combination of both having sweaty hands and living in the south is shit
Asher Bennett
at least as good as what i produce and im 20

>this guy walks into the guitar store and slaps your daddy's ass wut do
The pacifica series is really good for beginners. The model pictured here is a 311H. The unfortunate thing about buying a guitar for the first time is that you'll probably only know what you want and what you should look for after playing for some time. In general the guitar should not have a twisted neck, should stay in tune, the neck should feel comfortable to hold, should have a comfortable weight and look good to you so you'll be motivated to pick it up.
single coil >noisy >weak >literally only sounds good as a neck pickup in combination with a middle pickup >requires a pedal to drive the input of an amp pure unadulterated shit
>literally only sounds good as a neck pickup in combination with a middle pickup Nah. Strat neck pickup is the GOAT tone.

i've been listening to a lot of newish r&b like daniel caesar, sabrina claudio, frank ocean
is there any resources i should watch/read to write r&b songs? i know a lot of jazz-y chords but i don't know how to properly use them with songs. the progressions are kind of different
background: >want to record something >cant come up with lyrics i wont be ashamed of >find some rhymes on Sup Forums >sing it to some chords in a couple minutes >start producing it

Transcribe the stuff or look it up. I believe this is called neosoul and it overlaps with mathrock at times. The genre makes heavy use of very big extensions past seventh chords and obviously involves hammer ons and pulloffs a good bit. You'll have to get to know your chord shapes and their immediately surrounding scaletones well. It might probably be a good idea to get working on chord melody in general as it will teach you everything you need to know apart from transferring this more traditional style of jazz guitar into more modern playing youtube.com/watch?v=EPV2UoZS3Jk youtube.com/watch?v=I-12csE8_wA youtube.com/watch?v=16La-tF-_u0

If it's a V1 I'd say no.
Isaac White
btw that acoustic is a 30usd classical with a hole in the body
Anthony Thompson

Jacob Gonzalez
Still seems steep to me as well, and it's all scratched up. But it's the cheapest one on reverb. What are some modulation pedals similar to the sea machine?
Ryder Roberts
They probably use a lot of sus chords too
Ryan Evans
i didnt mix yet how do you master usually?
Oliver Gutierrez
>tfw p90 neck and gold foil bridge
Blake Mitchell
Sign up for wish list on reverb and the email alerts. If you follow things you can buy them cheap on a weds or thurs. remember that a lot of people get paid on Fridays
Ryder Reed
mad helpful. thanks buddy!
Sebastian King
Why do people hate p90s?
Connor Fisher
Into the Beatles I take it?
Ryder Smith
They're already on v3, $75 no more.
Camden Thompson
I use limiters EQs and compressors, just basic stuff but it really helps bring everything together
why is the telecaster (the first electric guitar EVER, literally the father of all living electric guitars today) the most controversial guitar here on /gg/? is it the patriarchy?
All of the hum of a single coil with none of the delicious, glassy chiminess.
Lincoln Richardson
use your ear + trial and error you can download a tab program and dump the notes in there or just memorize it if you really want to have some fun get the bpm of the song and create a basic drum track for it and properly enter the notes in he program so the time is right dont be afraid to slow it down
