>mad that he can't pull off skinnies and a slim fit scene band shirt

It's clothes lmao

>caring

how much pussy do you get for wearing that joy division shirt, my guys?

You don't just for wearing a shirt, you do by being interesting. And you're boring me, goodbye.

>>>>>>>>implying
Fuck off.

Plenty because a shirt doesn't define me. Not my fault that your entire personality is pinned to your clothes.

if you didnt want your shirt to define you you wouldnt spend money on graphic tees to let everyone know what pop culture you consume

>wearing clothes

Attached: 1520626673229.jpg (280x373, 13K)

I support the artists I like with buying things they make cause I can afford it. We live in a capitalist society and that's how smaller acts survive.

T-shirts are always handy to have around anyway. During the summer you can just throw something on quick and during the cold northern winters I can throw them under a sweater. It's efficient clothing.

that’s just a total non sequitur. meaningless.

if you buy them you might as well. although I likely wouldn't buy one

>not wearing button-downs or at least a high quality undershirt under your sweaters
do you even /fa/ DW

Button-downs are a hassle to iron and I'm tired of going to the dry cleaners every week. I travel too much.

High quality undershirts are a thing yes, but I keep leaving mine in Warsaw and in Moscow all the time so eventually I got tired of buying new ones.

Come at me fags

>capitalistic society
and there it is. the root of the problem. people are so narcissistic they emblazon their laptops and cars with stickers, wear gaudy graphic tees that cost $30 when they could get 20 second hand shirts for that much at a thrift store, and inform everyone on social media what their interests are. i can only imagine the kick varg gets out of seeing his pathetic fans indulge in the very culture he detests by wearing his shirts.

>ebil capparahrahrihhstic shushihity

I have the same blanket you dumb fag.

I’m worried that pupper didn’t make it

i like simple and lesser known images

i dont understand the hate for them unless its just an album cover on a black t shirt

look at this smiling ironic fag

Only if there's no Sup Forumstards there.

what happened to you? is everything okay?

there's not, we're too busy working out and studying philosophy.

>people are so narcissistic they emblazon their laptops and cars with stickers, wear gaudy graphic tees that cost $30 when they could get 20 second hand shirts for that much at a thrift store, and inform everyone on social media what their interests are
Absolutely nothing wrong with anything you just said.

I approve of this message

nice

Hahahahahaha

I seriously hope you don't wear clothes solely with the hope it might attract someone of the opposite gender.

I wear clothes in the hopes that it might attract someone of the same gender desu

Just copped pic related.

this is super fucking lame

oh, so you're a faggot. No wonder your world view and opinions are so backwards. Carry on then folks, this thread is concluded

i wear clothes when i need protection or warmth. otherwise im nude.

lol..........

this

I feel like it needs the title in order to make sense

i know you're being sarcastic but i've hit it off with many women by wearing band tees
got a qts phone number by wearing a hotelier shirt

Are you guys that insecure that you are afraid of being judged wearing the clothes that you like?

i wore a dino jr and operation ivy t shirt when i was in high school and never got pussy. I had like 10 other band tees too but those two stick out. i haven't worn any of them since probably junior year 6 years ago but i cant throw any of them away

more like so secure i dont need to waste money on pop culture merchandise to cultivate an identity.

do you have long unkempt hair?

can’t help but always laugh at these kinds of navelgazing mentalities. if anything the great thing about capitalism is that quality and durability and cut/fit differ from clothing to clothing, and you get what you pay for with most things if you’re not an idiot and you do your research beforehand. quit viewing all human beings as hopeless golems and maybe you won’t be so unhappy, communist scum.

having this framed on your wall would be one thing but to actually put it on your body and wear it outside lmfao

I would year band merch if I had band merch. So I'm not a faggot. Yet.

Attached: 1437028504384.jpg (500x636, 35K)

I get girls anyway so I could wear cargo shorts and they'd still be interested, must suck being you op

right now sort of. back then not really never got close to my shoulders or anything

it’s a personal choice to correlate “trying to cultivate an identity” with wearing your favorite band tees; there’s nothing inherent or self-evident about such a shallow point of view.

What the fuck do I need 20 second hand shirts for, when I could have one really good shirt that I enjoy wearing.

you are literally purchasing something that will be seen by everyone you encounter. you're not just buying that shirt because you personally think it looks cool, if that were the case then youd just buy a poster you could look at on your wall all day. no, youre buying something because you need other people to know what you like. the pop culture that you consume carves out your niche in our distended culture.

he doesn’t understand how the real world works like all commies, ignore him.

>unless its just an album cover on a black t shirt
What's wrong with that?

Attached: emperor-tshirts.jpg (550x550, 42K)

He thinks buying thrift store makes him "authentic" or something. Typical soycialism mentality

>only commies hate capitalism

hola, reddit!

lol soycialists are the worst about wearing trendy band shirts.

no, it means you're not contributing mindlessly to consumer culture. you're wasting money and destroying the environment because youre obsessed with a certain image of yourself.

You can't just take an archetype and spin it in your favor. You yourself are terrified of what others think of you and go as far as to let that dictate what you wear. Typical soyboy behavior.

1. not every artist has their own dedicated poster line
2. band tees are a classic conversation starter (not that i would expect you to understand social dynamics because you’re clearly autistic)

what you’re doing is projecting ulterior motives onto people you don’t even know, most likely because you’re incredibly insecure about your self-image. people like you are better off on /r9k/.

you can’t hate something you don’t understand.

Attached: 39A6D72F-E381-4A49-BA45-74461317411D.jpg (2048x1536, 257K)

people that put stickers on their laptop and shit really are fragile dipshits and lost dipshits though

So you want to live in a world where everyone looks the same and wears the same clothes?

>1. not every artist has their own dedicated poster line

it's still impossible to rationalize. like it's a fucking logo you can pull up on your screen in 5 seconds, why do you need to OWN it? because you're a materialistic faggot.

but why tho?

or maybe, you like the shirt and want to exchange money to own it. People are self interested and some want to get stuff they like, retard. Youre being just as self interested and vain by getting thrift store clothes only with miles upon miles of pretension and condescension in the process, making it way worse.

not him, but
>what you’re doing is projecting ulterior motives onto people you don’t even know, most likely because you’re incredibly insecure about your self-image. people like you are better off on /r9k/.
>you’re clearly autistic

no because im literally just buying the cheapest, most comfortable clothes. im not macklemore.

lol, there's no other explanation for wanting to own something that serves no practical purpose. it's the same mentality that drives vinyl collectors (vomit).

god, just listen to you. above it all. you don’t see how utterly histrionic and juvenile your mentality is?

>AAAA EVERYONE’S A SHEEP EXCEPT FOR MEEEEE

>it's still impossible to rationalize
yea just go ahead and ignore everything else i said that directly refuted this. sorry you just didn’t like the answers — doesn’t mean they’re wrong.
>it's a fucking logo you can pull up on your screen in 5 seconds, why do you need to OWN it?
seriously? you can’t just walk around with a fucking monitor taped to your chest.

do you listen to any particularly underground, local artists? you’ve never supported them by buying their tees or posters? why is buying a tee materialistic but according to you buying a poster is perfectly acceptable? how fucking disingenuous can you possibly be?

Attached: D9B90EF0-0931-43A3-9F84-5303508ADB43.jpg (648x463, 48K)

I own pretty much nothing but band and video game t-shirts. Regular t-shirts just look boring to me.

>circular arguing
you’re excruciatingly transparent.

>there's no other explanation for wanting to own something that serves no practical purpose
not either of them but you literally just keep proving their points over and over lmao

Ok, good for you. Holy shit you're insufferably vain and pretentious.

i would argue that the vastly more expensive pima cotton fabric is infinitely more comfortable than regular cotton. you don’t know shit about anything, do you?

you actually havent provided an alternative motivation. it follows that if something does not serve a practical function then youre purchasing it to satiate a non-practical desire (ie one that does not appease base desires such as hunger, thirst, warmth, etc.)

literally the most pathetic response in this thread considering band tees are usually cheap garbage. if you want a nice cotton tee then you would seek that out specifically.

oooh gee look at mr worldwide over here
fuck you kiddo i went to the grocery store yesterday

buying a poster is stupid as i suggested later, but at least it's stupid for reasons other trying to let strangers know what you like. deriving aesthetic pleasure from a picture is less pathetic than deriving pleasure from others associating you with certain pop culture.

refer to you just keep doing it, lad

the only difference between a picture on a screen and a poster is that you own one. hence, the only plausible explanation for preferring the latter is that you enjoy owning something. this is materialism. now stop spouting intro to logic terms like a fucking retard.

I wear what I want.

Attached: 534DECBE-8AED-47B4-96EC-4B08BCBFAEE8.jpg (4032x3024, 2.01M)

i think the autists point still stands because there's no plausible reason why you would prefer to wear an overpriced band shirt over a regular shirt other than you wanting other people to see that you like something. you can say "im just promoting the band," but the odds of a band shirt actually galvanizing people who see it to listen to said band are exceedingly slim (esp. when most band shirts arent even explicit about who the artist is). and there are better ways to support a band than buying their merchandise (for instance just buying their music).

what the autist ignores is that a band shirt could potentially be a conversation starter. That and a poster on a wall also just look cool. This is coming from a guy who has literally never spent a penny on music or merchandise (aside from attending shows.) I've got a poster on my wall that my gf bought me, though. I like it. It looks cool, it doesn't "feel good".

Too close to the camera, son.

It's a pretty comfortable shirt, made of a stretchy soft artificial fabric. Works well with most of my bombers. Shit band otherwise.

Fuck your stupid fat cat

I had this shirt in high school. It was pretty cool

People don't only wear tee for social dominance. People just like different designs that match their or whatever.

Honestly, just wear whatever you want. People don't really give that much of a shit either way

>implying that’s the only reason people wear clothes
