Hse's got this frumpy fupa look going on that reminds me of this terrible girlpop band I saw earlier this week. I thought these people prided themselves on their uniqueness.
>be me >started playing guitar when I was a teenager >seemed like a cool way to express yourself musically >got really good >considered accomplished even by professionals I sometimes associate with >as I mature musically I realize writing guitar based music is rudimentary, simplistic and creatively limited compared to the infinite possibilities a laptop based DAW offers now >as I mature musically I slowly realize how uninteresting most guitar based music actually is >as I mature socially I come to realize most people have long since stopped caring about guitar based music too >mfw guitar might as well be an accordion or a harpsichord now >pic related: mfw I know in my heart I wasted my time on this instrument >mfw I wish I could have all that time I wasted back
for God's sake don't end up like me kids, save yourselves from my fate
>tfw looking on eBay for a 9.5lb Les Paul Classic and nips have flooded the site with radioactive guitars On one hand I hate having to scroll through hundreds of listings but on the other hand they gave me Yui so I'm conflicted
I’ve only been playing guitar for nine months, I think I have just jumped the gun a bit on this one. Still has lots of pretty pictures and song facts for now.
9 months ! lord that shit is 3 months doable , i think you have ADD. stop being lazy.
Jaxon Thompson
>3 months to play like one of the best folk fingerstyle guitarists of all time
Yeah ok kid. I have heard people in here play by the way.
Colton Lopez
is that mac demarco
Christopher Wood
>"finished" >43 seconds wew
William Campbell
i was thinking if that composition deserves longer parts
Jonathan Ramirez
This.
Everything is so unbalanced it's ridiculous. I don't think guitar tracks from Converge are nearly as agressive as yours. I think I hear a synth, I can hear the clicks from an acoustic being strummed(left channel is off time).
I was restringing my mitchell md100 and noticed the saddle was broken. I called a repair shop and got quoted that to replace it would cost about $120, which is almost as much as my guitar would be new.
Would you guys just get a new guitar or get it fixed?
Kayden Morales
kinda looks like him in the thumbnail
Owen Perry
yeah the acoustics are just a texture what do you mean by unbalanced is that a compliment on the agressive guitar sound theres brass and an organ, no synth
Now that sounds good, a little too much ambience for my taste or a slight phasing issue or something. In the mix though, not just guitars it sounds bad. Are you using limiters? Use less, and roll some of the level knobs back.
Anthony Carter
>stringjoy Bought electric strings from them once, regretted it, were the worst electric strings I've ever played. Sounded like plastic or some shit, was disgusting. And they were 11 bucks per and I bought two
Dylan Cruz
I would buy a new saddle and put it on myself wtf why are guitar players so afraid to so much as pick up a fucking bottle of super glue? yall weak
Luis Ward
how do i improve my bass playing? like knowing how to improv and do fills and such
Levi Rogers
I love mine
Andrew Ward
I need to always loosen the strings when I'm settin up intonation and action right?
Charles Morgan
I think I realized the guitar isn't for me. I'm a mediocre player and everything I write is just terribly uninspired and boring. Maybe I should try the piano or something, but I give up on guitar. It's a shame I've wasted so many years being absolute shit at it.
Thomas Jackson
no
Noah Anderson
wish I had taken up the piano
Justin Williams
Scales, patterns, keys, arepggios, know how and when to use chord tones.
It needs to be tuned to pitch, unless you have a floyd rose or acoustic where you can't intonate with a tensioned string. Both adjustments will change pitch, make gradual adjustments and retune.
Nicholas Carter
this. fuck guitar so much
Oliver Watson
so there's no risk of breaking the strings or something?
Kevin White
Unless you do something asinine, then no. Even then, I'd buy you lunch if you could pull it off.
Wyatt Nguyen
>defeatist shills are they migrating along with Sup Forums too?
Jaxson Sanchez
Guitar music is over, user. Just accept it already.
You can't just make rock music these days with guitars/bass/drums. I've been trying to adapt and incorporate guitar in to other types of music like electronic. It's just unavoidable these days. People don't want the same shit that was made between the 60s-90s. They want something new and fresh.
Xavier Perry
>guitar is a tactless instrument
What do you even mean by this shit? Stop regurgitating pseudo-intellectual contrarian Frippery.
What makes guitar a tactless instrument but piano tactful? Does a bassoon have tact but a cello not? How can an inanimate object even possess tact?
Cooper Jackson
If you can't feel a message conveyed by an instrument you must not actually play one.
Xavier Smith
this just means that people who weren't actually interested stopped playing, it's actually a good thing
John Rogers
Just recently started writing songs but fuck me is my voice horrendous, struggle to properly project my voice. Any tips?
Brayden Gonzalez
That doesn’t answer my question. Explain how an instrument can inherently be “tactless”.
Isaac Ward
Not if other genres of music are gearing up. Guitar is joining bass and percussion status. Not that it's a bad thing.
Carson Mitchell
>this just means that people who weren't actually interested stopped playing unfortunately that was everyone ;__;
Dominic Williams
Can a message be tactless? Can words be tactless? Do you even know what tact is?
Connor Taylor
>answers with rhetorical bullshit
Thought as much, in other words you are talking out your arse.
Alexander Ramirez
True but rock as a medium still even has plenty of ground to cover. There's still new areas to explore. And the great thing about the Internet is now you can cater to even the smallest niches
Landon Cruz
That doesn't answer my questions. Are you autistic or just a troll? You're obviously a brainlet.
Elijah Anderson
It's more about frontloaded guitar songwriting than anything else. The instrument is marooned in a forest of tires song writing methodologies.
Andrew Wright
No, I can see through your vaguery and called you out on it. An instrument cannot inherently be tactless. A user may play with or without tact as with any other pursuit requiring skill.
