there's 0 irony here, I LOVE THE DRUMMING IN THIS ALBUM AND I THINK THERE'S NOTHING OBJECTIVELY WRONG WITH IT

And these.

the fan-made rerecord is the only version I listen to anymore. It's too good. Ruined the original for me.

Attached: Testament_-_The_Gathering.jpg (300x300, 57K)

really niqqa?

Honestly, if a weirdo noise rock band like Flipper or The Residents, or a joke band like Ween or the Butthole Surfers had an album with that cover it'd make sense. But the fact that a band that takes itself as seriously as Dream Theater has it, makes it really creepy.

Destroying the bass was worth it

Attached: 220px-Metallica_-_...And_Justice_for_All_cover.jpg (220x220, 21K)

wish more of their albums had this level of drumming

an obvious choice

ive always felt danny is the only one who has improved in the band without becoming pretentious

this album cover would be so kino without the KORN part

>"hey, guys i know this is my first album with you but why am i not hearing my bass? James is it ok if i record again pls?"

wait a second........ i think i understand why scaruffi gave korn a 7.5/10 now

Attached: 1485628651818.jpg (250x236, 65K)

Good shit

lmao

Attached: egebamyasi.jpg (630x630, 95K)

>David was the best part of korn

Also, say what you will about Satyricon's post-Nemesis career, but Frost's drumming has never been anything short of immaculate.

Attached: volcano.jpg (316x316, 18K)

Y'all don't even know

Attached: fLpfktKb_400x400.jpg (400x400, 44K)

Why? I need to know user!

Even though James was a cunt for not stepping in, it was ultimately Lars' direct fault, being a control freak as usual and forcing the sound engineer to mute the bass in front of everyone in the room.
It's an ugly thing, and it's true that Jason was truly fucked over and Lars was an ultra prick, but to me the album really is a work of history. Everything about that album screamed angst and frustration about Cliff's death in a raw form and I really liked how it ended up the murky sound it is

im not good with PS

Attached: 418456133485 copy.jpg (600x600, 297K)

but it's supposed to look like the shadow of a girl who hanged. it's already good

Any of their first four albums qualifies, really.

Attached: Cover.jpg (800x800, 116K)

You can pretty much post every Rush album ever, except for the first one.

Basically every Rush album

Attached: 1eb7479d.jpg (600x600, 67K)

I never see any discussion about these guys unless the stars are right.

Attached: a4253018580_16.jpg (700x700, 85K)

this.

everything Dale Crover ever played on

I prefer the more jazz influenced Peace Sells drumming even if it's not as tight.

Jesus yes, drums and bass on RIP are godly. If only more thrash bands had such a sense of rhythm.

And they were about to fire the drummer at that point.

this, holy shit

This
I always discarded them until I saw he scored them rather highly which got me to listen

Did Korn invent Slenderman?

there's a piano in the opening track you mong

Attached: Led_Zeppelin_-_Houses_of_the_Holy.jpg (220x220, 18K)

Joy of motion and the madness of many is probably some of the best I’ve heard.

Their first four albums actually

Every single Mayhem full-length has "perfect drumming", but I had to choose one to post an image of and this one I appreciate a lot in general.

Attached: IMG_1670.jpg (454x454, 25K)

the true successor of bonham

lars peaked on puppets, he was the best version of himself and not just competing poorly at being as technical as his contemporaries
and fuck that stupid mix

Okay.............. so we've got albums with

PERFECT DRUMMING

but............ let's see you boys find....... an album...... with.............

PERFECT CUMMING

Attached: yasss.png (905x939, 329K)

Ulcerate - Everything is Fire; Destroyers of All; Vermis

I don't like the snare tone on the more recent one.

My brother

Love it. Their newest album also kills in the drum department imo. Pretty sure it's Gene Holgan who did Symbolic and Individual Thought Patterns from Death

one of my personal favorites. atf has a few great songs too, my favorite being Damone since it's so commonly overlooked.

opiat

I saw em live like a year ago, the drummer did a fucking insane 10 min drum solo and i cumed pant
