Which films are pretentious? I'm curious about your opinion on these films, user.

Empire Strikes Back
Hero
The Thing
Mad Max Fury Road
Robocop 1
Starship Troopers
Dredd
Scarface
Seven
Mroczny Rycerz Powstaje

>Mroczny Rycerz Powstaje
Great taste.

I never really got the appeal of Dredd to be honest. I can recognize that it's a decent action film, but beyond that I get nothing out of it. I think it's the visual design, it didn't sit with me very well.

I dont understand it = pretentious

>watched Watership Down today
>see brown rabbits fucking everywhere now
what was the name of this syndrome?

>I never really got the appeal of Dredd to be honest. I can recognize that it's a decent action film, but beyond that I get nothing out of it. I think it's the visual design, it didn't sit with me very well.
I generally like the day in life type of movie. The worldbuilding is phenomenal and the aestheticization of violence was borderline artistic.

Being a faggot syndrome.

the slomo drug stuff was cool

yeah that, thanks

It wasn't just that, every single shootout, including the incendiary rounds, was shot in the way that made sure you could enjoy the view of the violence recipients. I would compare it to Robocop, which is another one of my favorite movies.

I'll have to rewatch it, because I was admittedly not in the best frame of mind. I think it was the slow-motion drugs that killed it for me initially.
