Is there anything else like this album?
I've been getting more and more interested in cults, and The Love and Terror Cult has been one of my favorite albums recently, both due to the history and the sound (why is Charles Manson an unironically good musician?)
Does anyone know of any other albums that were spawned out of cults, or weird new age movements?
I just finished Wild Wild Country, the Netflix documentary on Rashneeshpuram, it's really good and has left me searching for more music made during the New Age 1960's and 1970's period, or music made by cultists and outsiders (or even music that sounds like it, lo-fi, odd lyrics, folky, ect.)

This is a song by a local guy, I think he lives on (or is at least active with) the Eastwind commune, a place in the woods where they make nutbutter. He performs a lot at music festivals around here, this is one of his best songs IMO.

My favourite outsider musician is Hasil Adkins, a one-man band who recorded hours of demented, distorted rockabilly about fried chicken and decapitation in his backwoods Virginia shack back in the 50's and 60's.
