Disappointed by how bad Westworld is. The concept of that film was right up my alley.

Drunken Angel was good, far from the best Kurosawa film Ive seen though.

Hacksaw Ridge and Jackie were great. I want to see Gibson direct more and I hope Portman gets the oscar for Jackie.

been away this week with work
looking forward to giallo week though, will hopefully be able to get a decent amount in.

why's a 7/10 movie getting so much praise?

>le math fail face

more like 4/10, 2bh

Exactly!

Also,

I meant which particular one, not just in general

haha

La La land was basically Hollywood jerking itself off for 2 hours

>still gives it a 7/10
huh that's strange

>La La land was basically Hollywood jerking itself off for 2 hours
>gives it 2 1/2 stars
autism?

>sees 3 1/2 stars
>reads it as 2 1/2 stars
autism!

world's okayest taste

>1 1/2 to jackie
>3 to edge of seventeen
holy embryo

the best tbqh famamlam

Yeah, yeah, this is a 'criticism' for many.
What's the problem with jerking off?

>2 1/2
if only

It was an enjoyable time. It is really more of a 3 but sometimes you feel generous. I don't think it at all will hold up on a rewatch. So i will never watch it again

idk I just think it makes me sound cool, please don't break through my shallow barriers and realize I've only seen 300 films my entire life

ikr Edge of Seventeen is clearly 5 stars

downloading this Teshigahara boxset was the best decision i could've made

too bad it's prohibitively expensive on the secondary market

maybe Criterion will do another run in the future. finger's crossed.

dogshit > steakembryo

steakbryo < dogshit

I saw The Face of Another in the theatre in, I think, 2006 and remember literally nothing about it, not even a single shot.

rewatch it! it's such a gripping film. i'd kill to see it in a theater.

>downloading boxsets

let me know when you ascend to coffrets, chump

Hmm, strange how I didn't even log in to take that screen cap.

>out of the blue
>3 stars

uhmm

what does embyro mean

if you give meme answers i will hurt my cat

I love Dustin Hopper, both as an actor and director, but it just didn't vibe me that much.
No qualms about all the love it gets.

O SHIT, MY DICK OUT

its aight

>low score + mostly positive review
one of my biggest peeves

im not that good of a reviewer, but I stand by it bish

>he still didn't get it
Yeah, you sure love him

...

...

it's mediocre
stop orbiting amaranth, pathetic beta male

If Amaranth were a movie, Edgar Cochran would give her a 100/100
If Amaranth were a director, she'd be Federico Fellini
If Amaranth were a country of film, she'd be Italy
If Amaranth were a style of filmmaking, she'd be French New Wave
If Amaranth were anymore perfect, she'd be Amaranth

Stupid

congrats, you've successfully understood what the movie was trying to tell you, which is that her mindset is wrongheaded and silly

Erwin Kim deserves better

what should i respond to this poster with

Just double down. He literally admitted guilt

...

What a waste of a lovely site.

...

Reminder that most of you should kill yourselves

implying I havent

then HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU STILL ALIVE

>what is your favourite extra/special feature for a film?
Do you mean like on a DVD? If you mean that then this is my favorite deleted scene from a film.

Jackie was more of a Natalie Portman film than a Jackie Kennedy film. If you're going for new info or new insight into the Kennedys you'd be disappointed but Portman does deserve the Oscar.
