Well, seems imma gone be buying a new hi-hat. And I just realized . . . I've been using the same old thing for ages and just dealt and duct taped and found bolts and just got through with it.
Those flat-based stands are meant for traveling/gigging. They're much lighter than most stands. Also slightly less sturdy than top of the line stuff What do you mean by pivot?
Elijah Martin
less sturdy?
dont want that
read a review, the reviewer didnt like not being able to fix the seat (from rotating)
Cameron Smith
how much less sturdy? wouldnt mind losing some travel weight tho....
William Williams
>how much less sturdy? I mean unless you're really in the studio or at a very high performance level where minute movements matter, you shouldn't be concerned. They'll be plenty sturdy. Just won't compare to a stand like this sweetwater.com/store/detail/DWCP9500D--dw-dwcp9500d-9000-series-3-leg-hi-hat-stand >the reviewer didnt like not being able to fix the seat Sounds dumb. Never heard anyone ever complain about that in my life but maybe he just has some passionate preferences. Doesn't make a difference either way. You'll adjust to either one within minutes of playing

thank you for taking some time to share, user.
its nice when the blob pokes back

500$ !
thats a huge price for a stand . . . though it would prolly last the rest of my life . . .

Gotchu dawg. Gets said too much, but always try to check out a music store to try this stuff in person if you can
