How do you organise your files?
What metadata do you keep?

I do "Artist - Title" And capitalise everything.
I keep everything in one folder and sort it into various .m3u playlists.
I only keep the metadata that actually matters, title and artist.

I recommend mp3tag to rename based on metadata and reNamer to bulk rename with regex

>too intense for metal tourists
>too complex for narrow minded pseudo-elitist metal "fans"
>triggers whitey alt righties after making fun of them
>triggers lefties with their attractive, fit, white vocalist, Doug Moore, who won sexiest dude in metal
>tricks RYM into thinking their music's aleatoric when there's clearly a riff based structure in there like all metal music, proving that RYM is for pseuds
>tricks ANUS/DMU into thinking it's mathcore, proving that those guys can't into rhythms, just autism
>manages to break new ground in metal as well

Is there any band more BASED than Pyrrhon right now in the genre?

Season of Mist have dropped scumbag frog-metal band Inquisition after it became known that Dagon is a sick pedophile fuck who pleaded guilty to child porn charges in 2009 for having sexualized photos of young girls and boys on his hard drive. Hopefully this will be the end of Inquisition as they were a terrible Immortal ripoff that became a flavor of the week favorite of hipsters only due to the undying hipster quest to find the most awkward two piece band in existence. If we are lucky authorities will deport Inquisition back to Columbia, investigate their behavior at all of the all ages shows the band played, and, if any misconduct ensued, speedy trial and death penalty!

I would argue it's very important to a lot of death metal and black metal as well as obviously metal with cleaner vocals. If you look at Chuck or Martin van Drunen's vocals, they still have a certain amount of "humanness" to them. A little further away you would have something like early Craig Pillard, and even further you would have the super low gutturals typical in brutal death and slam. Even at that point, the appeal of the vocals is that they sound like someone with their throat torn out, but not completely inhuman. There's still something there besides the pure textural and rhythmic qualities.

>it's real
It's official, guys. Pyrrhon really are the most chad band in metal right now.

Blasphemy and Beherit

>>too intense for metal tourists
>implying metal is intense and not a cringeworthy caricature of intensity

Attached: regret.jpg (1200x1200, 580K)

Blasphemy and Beherit then move on to Conqueror, Revenge and Sadistik Exekution. After that just listened to blackened death like Order From Chaos and Dragged Into Sunlight because it's generally better/more varied.

Nah, metal's got that upbeat intensity other genres just don't have. Like, you can find more abrasive stuff like noise music or you can find something that's got a heavier overall sound like that one live Swans album, but neither have that upbeat visceral feel metal does. You can turn the volume down, and as a normie those genres won't be too rough. But with metal it'll sound exhausting regardless of volume.

Blasphemy
Beherit
Antichrist
Conqueror
Revenge
Naked Whipper
Axis Of Advance
Damaar

thanks boys

Post good albums.

Their music uses quite a bit of blast beats/fast tempo drumming; the only tracks they have that aren't upbeat are some of the slower ones and the ambient ones.

is war metal named after bathory’s war?
Is it black metal that sounds like that?

no. it's metal that sounds like blasphemy

Blasphemy introduced a punk-based genre, grindcore, into black metal. It adopted the aesthetic approach of Sarcofago but underneath applied the percussive lower-five-frets texture musik of grindcore. The result is very effective, and easy to listen to, but also — if you have many other options — kind of boring. In fact, many of these riff patterns are the same ones, albeit simplified, that speed metal bands tried and failed to use to revitalize that genre. As raw motivational material, the music is fantastic, but over time, it fades a bit as one realizes that its strength as low-complexity high impact music also means that its content is one-dimensional. Over the past few years, I have thrown this record on five times and apparently terminated it early each time.

ebin paste

is it actually a fact that blasphemy was influenced by grind? i hear a lot of bands that supposedly play war metal with grind but i think it just coincidently sounds like grind cause the riffs are so repetitive and simple(not a bad thing)

I finished listening to this album and I liked it a lot, any good recommendations?

Attached: 113899616.jpg (340x340, 35K)

can I get uhh modern death/thrash?

Even if they weren't influenced at all by grind, which I doubt, I would say they take a similar approach to grind.

Not him but these are very good, thanks user. This style of BM I very much appreciate. Ungfell especially is quite good

>Drawn and Quartered
>Brighter Death Now
>Nurse with Wound
>First five Darkthrone albums
>Emperor
>Immortal
>CMI artists
>Bizarre Uproar

Not really modern, but I have never seen this album on /metal/
youtu.be/1bTyUEfptZ0

both are shit
what kind of list?

certainly

The French are heavily overlooked when it comes to Black Metal. The first three have incredible riffs. 2:45 on Vehemence's Assiege is one of my favorite riffs ever. Also, Ungfell's newest release is better IMO, just not nearly as Peste Noire-esque.

Just a list of artists to check out.

Tell me some good thrash metal

Wow, those vocals really are that bad. Holy shit.

So is Dagon a pedo or not?

yes

I have no idea but I don't care since Inquisition is trash. I kind of hope so since that means less people will talk about them.

the fact that Master of Puppets isn't on here proves how deluded and elitist this entire board is

>Album is longer than 50 minutes

if it's popular it's trash, user, haven't you learned that yet?

you're a super turbo retard, this chart only mentions 1 album per band and even then it's not suppoed to be complete

>waaah my favorite album isn't on the chart, they must be elitists!!
That's not how it works, buddy.

see stop making bogeymen, it's your taste that's shit

>album is 30m or less

Can anyone recommend some good black metal for a n00b, I just started getting into black metal with Drudkh and then started really enjoying it with this album by Alcest. Is this even black metal? What are other good albums/bands?

Attached: a1844035421_10.jpg (1200x1200, 243K)

Can I get some recs for Incantation style vocals?

Try out Burzum and Summoning

Album is one song 83 minutes long

Disma :^)

Agalloch!
youtube.com/watch?v=UwIljPvrNjI

Sounds like you like Atmoblack and Blackgaze. Nothin' wrong with that as an entry point, but people here can be really gatekeepy about "true" black metal.

Try Burzum, and Urfaust, then Emperor and Dissection.

and it's shit what a shocker

Good shit, thanks dude.

Yeah I'm just getting into it, literally just started listening to Alcest today. I didn't realize I liked it so much until recently so I'm still seeing what's out there. There are so many fucking sub-genres to metal it's hard to know how to label what I like. Thanks for the help and the recommendations!
