I've been binging on fucking 11th Doctor videos all day incidentally, getting pangs missing him and all the old Moffat comfiness.

I was always aware of Doctor Who when it came back, but it was always something that was cool in my parent's time with Tom Baker, but was cringeworthy CGI for kids nowadays. Matt Smith was "my" first Doctor in that sense.

Moffat was one of the most respected and acclaimed writers of the entire show, the thing that worried people was his casting an unknown.

Chibnall has never written an episode above a 7/10 and even that was rare. His only notable original work Broadchurch went off the rails and no-one honestly wants to see it come back for a third series
