you start

nth for Root. Also why didn't anyone tell me there's a new Master's Hammer out?

Attached: cover.jpg (1280x1280, 643K)

I love the early 90s black metal aesthetic. It was like those really bad hip hop album covers of the late 90s/early 2000s. They were awesome. I need a badass black metal name, guys.

My name's Cory, but that's no good.
How about...
Vermiculus? Yeah, that's the ticket. The root word is 'vermin', and that's pretty metal.

because the new masters hammer is trash

Stop listening to Metal, son!

Mom will tell you after you stop listening to Metal.

Don't watch anime, but I do jerk off to hot anime grills, like Mom for example.

I wonder what people that comment on sabaton videos look like

Speaking of, anyone here listen to Master's Hammer's early demos? They're kvlt as fuck.

I listened to the Ritual Murder. It was really bad.

War metal is basically just blacken or death thrash with war theme lyrics. Prove me wrong.

Attached: R-7909023-1451430560-2227.jpeg.jpg (600x600, 208K)

It's grindcore

Is there such thing as blackened crossover or death crossover?

If that's true, than for example only some Blasphemy songs are war metal because not all of their lyrics are about war. Which is obviously not true

What do you think about these gems?

Attached: JUST.jpg (768x1520, 489K)

Perfect.

why is it cropped so badly

I think the biggest evidence towards the fact that the Norwegian kids were just being childishly tryhard edgy/retarded and not really evil is the fact that most of them got caught very easily doing what they did. It's like they didn't even try to hide what they were doing, probably under some pretense of trve alpha manly man doesn't hide kind of thinking (or the fact that they were dumb kids.)

This is different from the likes of the members of Absurd or Ian Watkins or Dagon in that those guys knew what they were doing is evil, and thus tried to dodge authorities rather than autistically essentially let the authorities take you in. Norway confirmed poser for Satan knows what time at this point.

the power of ms paint is too great to handle

for fuck's sake fix the damn proportions on this thing

the bathory thrash album isn't bad at all I don't get why people don't like it it's good brutal thrash

no shit come up with that all by yourself?

Last week has officially ended. So post week you faggits.

Attached: collage.jpg (1250x1250, 986K)

Nah it doesn't do thrash's equivalent of chugging open notes as pedal points as often, nor is it as chuggy, has a much thicker sound, is more intense, different vocal styles, etc. Most of war metal's riffs don't get into the thrash territory since it's just smashing chords.

Hell, there is even bands that actually sound like a combination of War Metal and thrash (listen to Hades Archer's For The Diabolical Ages.)

i like your style user
>dahmer
>anal cunt
>impetigo
>death toll 80k
say have you heard Impetigos Giallo/Antefatto demos?

haha nice one

how do i into harsh vocals without annihilating my throat?

Early Norwegian black metal scene bands power ranking:

Mayhem > Emperor > rest of bands

Opinions? I think it's very endearing. Wish it were more well known Kind of like Tulus' debut with a drum machine and that swedish je ne sais quoi approach to riffs (think early Marduk).

Attached: cover.jpg (598x595, 170K)

Post funny xD metal ima geees::::))))))))::

Can't go wrong with this, but Pig Destroyer is good entry level grind as well.

This is a pretty patrician opinion right here

drink plenty of milk

Burzum & Darkthrone > Mayhem > Immortal > Emperor

most metal considered black/thrash doesn't have chugging either

something about the diaphragm
which is kind of retarded advice since any exhalation involves the diaphragm

>war is basically just [proceeds to give the definition of war metal]

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here m8.

Does anyone know where I could find a download link for any Requiem Eternam albums?

War metal is lo-fi early dm with black metal aesthetics and grindcore drumming.

darkworld probably

world downfall, repulsion, insect warfare lp

early dm is much more technically impressive

blasphemophagher is basically blasty thrash
B A S E D Heinous man
Galvanizer any good?

Lo-fi isn't limited to production, and I did mention it has a heavy bm aesthetics. All of that contribues to the primitiveness of the riffs

war metal is war metal and that debate between "muh it's bm" and "muh it's dm" only proves how much it's its own thing

>4-track home recording edition
here's some spooky stuff
youtube.com/watch?v=2Pm1jyIme2Q

Yes I have
Your mum sounds BASED asf
Aw hell yeah man, Galvanizer KRÜSHES

"war metal is war metal" is literally not an argument but a worthless tautology. Every extreme genre came from the same early 80s filthy, fast foundation of raw, almost-black, almost-death, thrashy madness. War metal is just one of the smaller areas in this venn diagram of thrash, death and black.

is never say die really that bad?

It would have been an excellent Deep Purple or Lucifer's Friend album, but on a Black Sabbath context, it's just lacklustre and not worthy of the name

It's generic late-70s hard rock.

I'm not arguing that it came out of the blue, just that it has influences so all over the map that it should be considered a subgenre of metal

I don't consider it a subgenre. More an approach than anything else.

Doesn't seem to be there. I'll probably just rip it from amazon streaming with audacity at this point. Thanks though, plenty of cool stuff there.

tbqh all sabbath after vol 4 kinda loses that proto-doom sound that was so unique to sabbath

slsk

I found an individual song there, but no albums.

You don't think SBS has that sweet sweet doom sound? Not to mention Sabotage has riffs that vaticinate thrash and death metal to some extent

weird that something this hard to find would be on amazon

Are you sure you're spelling it right?

First things first: There's like three Requiem Eternas and one Requiem Aeternas. Which do you mean?

>all those as when I mean am
Sorry, meant the other way around. Point being: Sure it wasn't "Aeternam"?

Severely overlooked though not necessarily essential second wave GO

Attached: cover.jpg (622x635, 101K)

don't remember what it sounds like just that i liked it

This one. Though I'd actually call it essential.

Attached: cover.jpg (600x600, 112K)

Yeah. After I rip it I'll upload it and put it in a sharethread or something.

"Requiem Eternam"
I'd almost expect someone on soulseek to have misspelled it, but too many things have been named requiem aeternam for that search to be productive.

this (pic)

and this

Attached: cover.png (1125x1125, 2.76M)

its certainly sabbath, and its really good, but doesn't quite have that doomy feeling that their earlier stuff had

It's like the debuts of Satyricon and Dimmu Borgir mixed with an early Gorgoroth edge. I really, really like it.

Yeah, just tried. Can't find shit.

OVERLOOKED
UNDERRATED
AND ESSENTIAL

I will never stop pestering this board with this album. I cannot FATHOM why it's not canon at this point.

Attached: cover.jpg (1000x982, 214K)

>guitar is literally just static
this sucks

big fuckin anime tiddies

>guitar is literally just static
isn't that the goal?

one of my favourites right there, fucking A, cheers
t.

Can someone explain Ildjarn to me? There's some cool riffs but it becomes boring after 4 or 5 songs of the same thing.

More stuff like Skinless and Car Bomb?

>A concept album about a guy who can only play one chord.

how are those bands related?

Are there any other albums like this?

i'm new to metal

Attached: 3009[1].jpg (500x500, 16K)

They aren’t, I was just listening to both recently and wanted more of the types of sounds they made

its a bad feels kinda night and i'm running outta whiskey
