It's Shit
Jack Stewart
Jeremiah Cook
Hum... fantano said it was good
Blake Russell
He is wrong
Eli Taylor
He's right
Caleb Wright
Not really.
Jose Reyes
He actually is
Hudson Evans
this is what passes for "experimental" rock nowadays?
Jacob Ross
Quality thread
Jack Allen
ok you convinced me.
Ryder Wright
Is this a step back for him? Or does it mean he should get back into a group to cover for whatever he lacks solo-ly. I’m a huge fan but think Dead Weather and White Stripes were miles better than Raconteurs or his solo projects so far.
Brayden Turner
I'll take your word for it.
I don't want to listen to a Jack White album
Isaiah Smith
what didn't you like about the Raconteurs? Their second record is somewhere in the top five of my favorite Jack White things.
Austin Martin
can someone explain what's experimental about this album
John Jackson
nothing. it's just an awkward middle album bridging what he used to do and what he'll be doing next.
the real story is the obscene amount of mainstream interest. a quick google yielded all these random articles on all these sites. i'll say this for third man records they have one hell of a promotion department.
Easton Watson
It felt too light to me compared to the harder-sounding White Stripes, and the eventual Dead Weather. I liked their sound but because like I said before I’m a huge Jack White fan, but Raconteurs fall to the bottom of the rankings of his projects.
Evan Wood
Consolers of the lonely is his most underrated work
Wyatt Rodriguez
Checked. Also, a millions times this. Both the raconteurs albums are my favorite jack white albums. Though I haven't gotten around to listening to this new one yet.
Austin Morgan
This is such a weird album, either you REALLY like it or REALLY hate it. Honestly I can see both sides of the argument, but I will say there is some GREAT tracks on here.
Brayden Sanchez
>either you REALLY like it or REALLY hate it.
I just think it's bad. Don't get worked up about it. There are a couple songs I like, one that I think is really great (Hypermisophoniac). The rest, don't care for them. The usual drivel he packs into his solo albums, now with new bells and whistles.
Xavier Lopez
Understandable
Cooper Gonzalez
It's exciting experimental music for people who think Flying Microtonal Banana is exciting experimental music
Easton Nelson
I guess I’ll have to give them another listen. I’ve only listened to them when they were released and that was my initial impression. Maybe a second trip through will change my opinion.
Jordan Walker
will you share the album with me so I can tell you if it's good or not
Owen Perez
There aren't many real rock stars and there is at least some audience that really wants one.
Zachary Perez
>Hum... fantano said it was good
Fantano just likes experimental garbage, he doesn't care that it's shit as long it's le weird XD
Hunter Robinson
Honestly, I'm so glad Fantano gave this the review he did. I had a similar experience as him with it: I hated the pre-release songs for the most part, but listening to the album really surprise me with how much I liked it.
Fantano is wrong in that What's Done Is Done is by far the worst track on the album, followed by Connected by Love (which are both very closely followed by Hypermisophoniac. The rest of the tracks range from good to stellar
Michael Clark
>fantano says the vocals made it for him on connected by love
what
the
actual
fuck
thats
the
worst
fucking
part
of
that
song
Benjamin Parker
this is garbage
Ryan Richardson
>vocals have to sound good
lol
Austin Anderson
Sounds like a nice trip to me. Flows pretty well between tracks. Love the Al Capone song at the end “Humoresque”
Ethan Turner
yes being in tune does matter fucktard
Thomas Rivera
>dude theres an objective standard of quality lmao
lol
Julian Rivera
wrong
Landon Hernandez
It's past your bedtime
Thomas Diaz
First couple of songs: not bad.
Hypermisophoniac: WHAT THE FUCK STOP THE BEEPING
Respect Commander: WHY THE FUCK IS HE MAKING GOLDENEYE 64 MUSIC
There's a couple of little nuggets of passable experimental stuff, but mostly TRASH/10
Ryder Clark
ice station zebra is a fucking jam
Alexander Thomas
>Respect Commander: WHY THE FUCK IS HE MAKING GOLDENEYE 64 MUSIC
because goldeneye 64's OST is better than anything jack white has ever made
Oliver Taylor
none of you actually like this album, you just like lou reed singing in a gay voice so you feel the need to defend bad singing
Samuel Gomez
This. That fucking part ruined the song for me and made me think less of the album as a whole. This kind of felt like Jack throwing stuff at a wall and seeing what sticks.
Evan Thomas
EVERY ONE LISTEN UP! I am a verified expert music listener. I was born from a patrician mother and a chad father, so therefore I have been granted the ability to listen to any kind of music with the most objective viewpoint possible with 100% accuracy. I am about to dive into this bitch and end this once and for all!
Leo Green
Enjoy dude. Tracks 1, 5, & 12 have cringe spots but the rest is pretty damn good. Respect Commander in particular clicked for me on second listen, but that might actually be my favorite now
Christian Clark
>what's done is done
>i just can't fight it no more
>so i'm walking downtown to the store
>and i'm buying a gun
what did he mean by this
Joshua Ward
does anyone think FMB is experimental? it's just good.
Caleb Anderson
you don't get it
Camden Myers
>clearly, abundantly influenced by dirty projectors
>acting like that's an objectively bad thing
Ethan Sullivan
Bump, this song is insanely good
Isaac Taylor
Same user here. Just finished the album. Using my abilities I have accurately came up with a 100% objective rating for this album. So by using Fantano's scale I have concluded that this album is an objective Strong 7. For this I need not to explain myself as this is a 100% accurate conclusion.
