desu i find 90% of metal lyrics to be absolute shit, I have fairly high standards for lyrics though (favorite lyricists being Peter Gabriel, Tim Kinsella, & Wayne Coyne few others I'm blanking)
I think that metal is a great form of music, all of its deviations have their great bands, they just usually drop the ball on lyrics in a major way.
Having said that to answer OP's question I think Deafheaven avoids the metal lyrical tropes mentioned
