Late Night probably had the best studio audience ever. You can tell they didn't have an "Applause" sign or coach them how to laugh. That seemed to change when he moved to CBS.
I also like how dark and simple the set was in the early Late Night episodes. They replicated it pretty well in Man on the Moon, the Andy Kaufman biopic.
