my phone

embarrassing

I have a classic but i'm trying to find how to stream music from my laptop to my phone

Don't waste your time with a crappy and dated iPod. Just get yourself a microSD card for one-fourth of the price and a smartphone that works, or maybe a cheap mp3 player with expandable storage, and drag and drop the files onto your device from your computer. Simple. I do this with ebooks too.

smart phones literally are the dominant portable music players right now

android + 64 gig microSD + spotify

Spotify, 320kbps is fucking good enough on the go and I don't like carrying a lot of stuff, plus I have a big data plan

I have a problem on my phone where spotify keeps switching back to low quality streaming, its a real bitch

When I was young I went for a walk up this hill and I found an iPod Classic just laying on the ground. It had over 10,000 songs on it, I swear to god. It was amazing and I discovered a helluva lot of music through it. A few years later I accidentally left it in an airport in Dubai. I'm still sad about it.

Maybe some random kid found it and it blew his mind too

This is what I hope

And you're so cool with your walkman I bet

underrated fpbp, perfect

I have the same issue, I was under the impression it was my carrier tho

its 2018... i use my phone because im not autistic

Sony xperia xz1 with 200gb SD card, all FLAC or mp3 rips on shuttle+, shit is cash AF and better than carrying a Walkman or ipod everywhere and having to charge another device

They probably thought it was a bomb and destroyed it. That's what they usually do to electronics that are left behind

Fiio X3ii + 128gb micro sd + FLAC + Audio-Technica ATH-M50

sandisk clip sport
i goto the gym and bike a lot

For on the go listening a Sansa Clip is perfect. I have a clip jam 8gb for the same reason.

My smartphone + 400GB MicroSD card dedicated to music. I can get most of my music collection on there in 320kbps (which is good enough for being out and about with some decent earbuds), with around 20GB to spare for new releases if any catch my fancy.

I just use my phone when at work with some wireless bluetooth earbuds. Can't really justify carrying around another device on me when that works.

This, ¥

Ive been using a classic for years, people give me weird looks for it as if its antique technology. I have a cheap shitty phone and really dont feel like having my most expensive bill being a phone payment for a device thats designed to go obsolete by the time i pay it off. Got my ipod used and am keeping going replacing the battery.

Have an old phone that only supports 32gb without glitching. So I can keep my phone charged longer, and carry all my music. I only use it when work is slow, or when I'm driving.

My Sansa is starting to fuck up. I'll be sad when it dies

what did it have on it

Pioneer XDP-100R. Dual microSD slots is the key feature. I also prefer a fully offline device because I work in places where there's zero coverage, and I prefer a dedicated device to isolate power usage of the six hours a day of listening music to it.

Fits in your pocket and comes with lots and lots of games.

Gotta start researching new devices.

FiiO-X1 + 128gb microSD

Cheapest unit they have, which still covers just about anything you could want from a basic music player.

Classics are the best portable music devices but they are so fickle and will break down out of nowhere with no chance of repair. I've wasted over $275 buying 3 of those things over the past 5 years. Now I just use spotify on my phone but there's so much stuff I have that will never get on there + data fees are a bitch. Fuck

Sansa Clip with rockbox, unbeatable

Galaxy S7 with a 64 gig MicroSD, the SD card is pretty much entirely dedicated to 320 kbps albums.

iPod classic with Rockbox so I don't have to worry about converting .flac. I guess if really wanted to I can play Doom on it. It's nice to have an iPod because I'm usually out listening to music for hours on end and my phone battery drains pretty fast, that said I keep some albums on my phone in case my iPod dies.

How old is this thing?

160gb iPod classic
if you have good taste like me, here's a pro-tip: don't fill it over 160 or you will have everything dumped from ot automatically.

My Sony WM-5

Might have to go for one of these considering I surpassed my iPod Classic's capacity (thanks for the info ) just recently.
