「物騒な事言わないの!」
>「――あまり馬鹿言ってると……!」
I was wondering why 言ってる was used here. I think the second line means something like "If you say any more stupid things", but the form here doesn't make sense with it.

馬鹿言うな is a set phrase.
馬鹿を言う/馬鹿言う means 馬鹿なことを言う.
I doubt that is one of dialect.
that relates to 物騒な事言わない. this を also is omitted at the sentence.

馬鹿言うな
don't talk stupid

馬鹿なこと言うな
don't say stupid things

those are the same for me.

they mean the same thing in english too, just different wording

that is to say, I understand 馬鹿/stupid is a noun in also English.
I got it.

there is also a way of speaking of 馬鹿をやる tho.

I already understand the phrase. I was just looking for clarification on 言ってると, "If you say another stupid thing ", "If you keep saying stupid things" etc.

「言う」連用形+接続助詞「て」+補助動詞「いる」+接続助詞「と」
言っている:動詞「言う」の進行形:be saying so
この場合は接続助詞「と」は単純な条件
「春が来ると、次に夏が来る」
あまり馬鹿言ってると=あまり馬鹿を言っていると
馬鹿を言う=言動が馬鹿々々しい
馬鹿を言うな: Don't be silly
否定命令法「馬鹿を言うな」は、実は命令法の「馬鹿を言え」が反語となり、同じ意味になる
above
あまり馬鹿言ってると
when you keep on being silly too much

the latter can be correct.

I recorded myself doing my reps today, if anyone is interested for some reason.

First 20 minutes is me doing my NameDeck (pic related).
The rest are Vocabulary reps (Core10k + mined words).

At around 23 minutes I start using my mouse instead of keyboard shortcuts, so you can actually see what I'm pressing.

Make an effort to answer in English at least

Can anyone point me to the best of this steve kaufman guy in regards to learning japanese? Particularly with kanji? I don't want to spend hours browsing his whole channel

>Can anyone point me to the best of this steve kaufman guy in regards to learning japanese?
"Read more" - S. Kaufmann

Watch one or two (to be safe) talks by him to big classes, one of those 40-60 min long ones. He always repeats the same set of advices verbatim.

>for some reason.
Gotta catch 'em all

He's got a very soothing voice. I'm checking out his 7 secrets of language learning series right now, but I'll find one of those longer ones. What is his opinion on learning kanji/hangxi?

he's not an expert on learning japanese or anything, he just is decent at learning languages in general

just read the fucking guide that we made for you

(´・ω・`)

dont get mad JET friend, I have read the guide

Please do not discriminate against Korean people.

Apparently not. Most sources online say they're the same. One person proposed the following:

>おののく人 → ぶるぶるぶる

>わななく人 → ぶるぶるぶるぶるぶる

>おののくが3センチくらいだとすれば、わななくは5センチくらい?

But really, I think you can use them interchangeably.

It's just Pantsuya going on a 在日 tirade as he often does. It's best to ignore him until he tires himself out.

>been skipping Anki, kanji practice and vocab these past days
>procrastinating and doing nothing

I need some fucking motivation. I'm sure I would have learned a lot of thing in these past month of sheer inactivity

I worry every day that my Korean friend will kill himself one day.

can you explain about the grammar of this sentence 雷神の 少し響みて 降らずとも 我は留らむ 妹し留めば

...

Why are Koreans such bullies to people that simply want to learn Japanese? What did they do to deserve it?

that is to say, should I understand that you say that Japanese long sentences are not for this thread?

What's the best way to say "the next day" - as in you're recounting events, and want to move onto the next day in the story?

またの日
明くる日
翌日

?

次の日 or maybe 翌日

storyteller is likely to say あくる日. it sounds a little more elegant

I was asked, so I answered.
It's just that.
Your reply merely shows that you are just a troll

All native Japanese know that the tanka of Manyo-shu are not easy like you say.

またの日 : another day
明くる日 : next day (morning)
翌日: next day
「明くる」は「明ける」(dawn)の古語「明く」の連体形
だから、「明くる日」の原義はnext morning
ただし、この意味では翌朝が用いられる
中卒以下やFランは、全ての理解が困難だろうね。

Is a spammer you after all?

sorry, I can't understand your Japanese.
>全ての理解が困難だ

>先週

来週
来月
来年
>> 明日

There's also 去年.
And the word 先年 still exists but it doesn't mean last year.

>burnt out at 920/2300 kanji on KKLC
Started off at 50 kanji/day, down to 25, 20, and then down to 10. I think I'm going to drop it.

On the bright side, I don't see most kanji as squiggly lines anymore. But I feel like I just wasted a bunch by not finishing it entirely.

does playing a game witha decent amount of dialog except its all in hiragana count as good reading material?

>Why is there no native Japanese word for last year?
You thought 忘年会 was just a funny name?

Stop thinking about daily reps and think about how much time you want to allocate to it. 11~12 a day if you want to finish it this year, but you can make a 6 month goal and bring it down to 8 a day to finish under a semester.

>Stop thinking about daily reps
I'm using an anki deck with the book. The writing is really burning me out, even though there are equal production/recognition cards my reviews are probably 75% production and take 2-3x as long to do as recognition.

Would it be a waste of time if I deleted all the production (meaning -> write kanji) cards and only did recognition (kanji -> meanings)? Of course I'd still write it out the first time I see it in the book.

I believe so. Learning it passively can be done via vocabulary, so eh.

Anyone can help me with 3 and 4 sentence? I can'not get the meaning.
お前はあれが好きだったね
Are you liked that, right?
夕焼け空にたくさんのシャボンを飛ばして
Many soap bubbles in the red sky at sundown
きれいな色をうつして飛ぶから
まるでお空を飛んでるようだと

>きれいな色をうつして飛ぶから
Because they shine in many beautiful colors when they float.
>まるでお空を飛んでるようだと
Almost as if they're soaring through the sky.

『全ての理解が困難だ』

「全部を理解するのが困難」なのか
「全く理解するのが困難」なのか

下手な日本語と太鼓持ちの外国人

>あんき

本当にわからないんだね・・・

多分、「誰かの悪口を言う」のつもりなんだろな
日本語も英語も困難なのね
哀れ

> 中卒以下
this is a slang of low-level education.
> Fラン
this means "you are a graduate from a college of a lower ranking"

The person who use the words like this must be a strange man.

"全ての理解が困難マン"は黙って"全ての理解が困難"してろ

困難な自然言語がないよ
乳幼児は難しいと思わないね
大人として鈍くなっているんだろう

なるほど”あらゆる理解が困難だ”と言いたかったのか。
でも「~は」の主語もおかしいな。

君にとってはあらゆる理解が困難だろう。

And next sentence from this text.
大きな瞳をまんまるにして夕焼空の茜色を映して
あの真っ赤に燃えるきれいな瞳
What does mean "大きな瞳をまんまるにして?
Big circle eyes?

「全ての」の品詞すら理解する能力がない。
「は」は、主語を示す格助詞ではなく、係助詞であることすら知らない。
発達障害の方でしょうか。
日本語、理解できますか?

Or "eyes spreading widely"?

perhaps I guess my English and your Japanese are same level.
Let's study hard!

your language is unnatural regardless of the grammar.
何助詞かに関係なく不自然だって

>大きな瞳をまんまるにして夕焼空の茜色を映して
(Her) eyes were open wide, reflecting the burnt red of the sunset
>あの真っ赤に燃えるきれいな瞳
Those beautiful eyes burning red

それを文法的に説明してみな。
能力も知力もないのに、何を偉そうに書いているの。
本当に、自称nihonという白痴そっくり。

能力と知力ってなに。
