OFFICIAL FA CUP FIRST ROUND PROPER DRAW THREAD

The proper start of the 137th edition of the world's oldest knockout competition - the FA Cup - is decided tonight with the first round draw.

Three teams from Tier 8 remain: Hyde United (who infamously had three successive relegations a few years ago) Heybridge Swifts (whose last appearance at this stage saw them lose 7-0 to Bristol City) and Ossett Town (whose location is more renowned for the Worms games than football).

The 89 teams and their 80 numbers are to follow in the next post.

Coverage starts at 7:00pm UK time on BBC Two with the draw starting approximately 10 minutes later.

>Hyde United

Who here /lifelong/ supporters of The Absolute Madmen?

Which colours do they play in nowadays anyway?

For me, it's Woking or Concord Rangers.

For me, it's Slough Town.

Who /leatherhead/ here?

best tournament in europe

who /Oxford/ here?

against modern football

Who /comfy/ here?

When you have 80 balls to pick, you sort of need a quick draw.

You now remember when Man City made Hyde United play in light blue and drop the "United" from their name for a few seasons.

Biggest side in the draw?
Blackburn?

>wigan
oh boy, time to repost this

wigans ground is a dump

The Swifts ofc

>you now remember Hyde winning 1 game in the Conference
>it wasn't even at home

There's always got to be a woman making the draw

is dean a fag

>Woman doing the draw

Odds on a cock up?

>that abysmal ball dropping
>women

She's probably a lesbo and doesn't like a cock up at all

Looks like she's had botox.

Can barely smile.

>trimmed fingernails

Yeah deffo

NANTWICH

G'won Hereford

>you now remember Portsmouth

>blackburn in round 1
Jack Walker is spinning in his grave

Not keen on sponsored names, but I wish Shaw Lane Association were still the Aquaforce.

>"""rewarded""" with a home tie against Mansfield

This is horseshit

They should dump championship and pl sides in at th first round

I'm serious about this. Would inject an additional bit of magic if there was more chance of non league vs premier league ties, would properly reward minnows for getting to the first round proper, and would make it more likely a non big six club would win.

What's two additional games max for pl and championship clubs?

>tranmere away at peterborough
Boring. Like a league fixture from a few years ago and 98% chance >we will get knocked out.

Gainsborough Trinity vs Scunthorpe would have been a right laugh, shame.

Big reward for Truro City. Away day at Charlton.

Tigerbowl when

I live in Woking AMA

>tfw will never be British

Gateshead/Truro would have been a logistical nightmare.

>Exeter v meme non-league team
IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN

>Schetve McClaren goes undercover

>home to Hartlepool

Winnable game.

wonder which london team the bbc will choose to show

Charlton v Truro pretty much guaranteed.

Well is would be Manchester United come the 3rd round

>STAT: Pools have visited Morecambe's Globe Arena four times and remain undefeated, having won three and drawn one.

Ahhh fuck maybe not.

>TV money could keep a lower tier side going for several years
>BBC only ever pick games like Man Utd v Coventry or sugar-daddy clubs like $alford City

They even did it in the preliminarily rounds on red button this year, picking Billericay with their drug dealer owner. Boils my piss.

>that description on the BBC website of Billyricky v Didcot
embarrassing

DFB pokal first round takes about 1.5 hours for 64 balls

>Hyde United
>Heybridge Swifts
>Ossett Town
these are made-up teams, right?
>still have my doubts about Scunthorpe United
