yeah I saw that. I've been to that track a few times for the little 500. Not surprised this is the level of intelligence from figure 8 drivers
Angel Turner
IMO unless the guy had a weapon or something they shouldn't have tased him, it's a freakin Figure 8 race, let em fight it out for a minute.
Charles Fisher
hands can be a weapon, especially when the victim is sitting with a seatbelt on. > let em fight it out for a minute they did
Ian Allen
Holy shit, dude!
Parker Smith
>shouldn't have tased him No, the cop shouldn't have tased him, as there was no fucking need for a cop. The fucking 6 full grown men working at the track should have just separated them the way MEN used to back before they became a bunch of PUSSIES.
PUSSY ass cops. PUSSY ass track workers. Disgusting display all around.
Connor Torres
desu I'd be afraid of the 3000lb car falling back down on me
Blake Evans
So while everyone was away: Robert Wickens was confirmed at Schmidt Peterson. I see this as a best case scenario, the guy was really good in the ladders series until he was dropped by the Red Bull Program in GP2 because he finished 2nd in that year.
Brendan Hartley will be driving for Toro Rosso at the US GP, unclear what this means for his pending contract at Ganassi, which he may very well have been signed. Some (anonymous, take with salt) sources have said that the deal was quickly put together and anything long term is unlikely to come of it.
Chevrolet tested at Pheonix Raceway yesterday.
Henry Barnes
>figure 8 tracks I was almost positive such a thing did not exist because it would be a danger to everyone watching and driving, but I suppose nothing should surprise me anymore.
Visit Florida Racing in IMSA is talking about a potential DPi car next year as their sponsor no longer wants to do Le Mans and thus they don't *need* a WEC-spec P2; do you think this means they get the rumoured Cadillac? IF so, does this mean one more Cadillac (for four total) or one 2017 Cadillac team loses their shit?
Blake Russell
Weren't there like only 4 P2 cars remaining in the series this season?
Juan Cox
So I guess the concept is more of a "try not to run into anyone" so you can win vs. the demo-derby type of event, right?
How does the wheel well cut outs prevent flipping over of LMP1 cars?
Cooper Brown
something about the cut out preventing air pressure from building underneath the car. all those mercedes and porsche gt1s back in the 90s flipped because they didn't have those cutouts.
Brody Sanchez
>F1 F1

Pls watch our league.
Ryan Morris
Makes sense in my head. Every day we stray further from God's light.
Nicholas Rivera
Krut, Troox, Newman, and the Destroyer tested the Charlotte road course today. Seems like it should be pretty interesting. Troox commented on how fucked up the infield is with bumps, and Krut described it as a "busy" track.
Why hasn't Conor Daly been confirmed for AJ? He jumping up to CG?
Cameron Gutierrez
He has no ride if not Foyt. Nothing confirmed there yet, but the longer it gods without confirmation, the worse Conor’s chances look.
Jaxon Sanchez
>NISMO TV lead announcer Sam Collins, contributing to the November 4 issue ofauto sportMagazine in Japan, has reported that Button is on the verge of signing a full-time deal to drive in GT500 with Nissan in 2018.
HERE WE GOOO
Henry Rodriguez
>Brand Ambassador/Involved with Honda in some capacity since 2003 >Has such a shitty year as McLaren-Hondas "Reserve" in F1 he jumps to Nissan for a SuperGT ride
LOL O L
Juan Roberts
Dude my local track has a figure 8 option. So does Toledo, home of ARCA.
Most local paved tracks here in the states have a cross in the infield for figure 8 racing. It's only the nutty drivers that actually run those races tho. And all the ones I've seen are "run what ya brung" type races because they can't get a big enough field of cars otherwise. Most local racers own their cars and they don't want to tear them up for no reason. But a few don't care and will race anytime anywhere.
Sometimes once a year some tracks will do special races on the figure 8 like racing old school buses or trucks hauling boats or crazy stuff like that.
Juncos Racing will contest 4 races, including the Indianapolis 500, next year. Off season is still in it’s early stages, maybe they can find a sponsor and run a full time car with the new Indy Lights champion.
Jack Morris
It's because McLaren is going with Renault engines next year
Parker Sanchez
it really sounded like they were going to do a full season... same shit with Carlin
Ryan Perry
They also released that as more funding is secured, Juncos will add more events to the schedule.
I think it’s still feasible, good to show commitment to a partial season early, paints a better image than silence.
Aaron Garcia
Where do you guys watch/download WRC races?
Asher Richardson
Not so fast, FIA...
Owen Robinson
I catch the occasional Motogp race, but I don't follow any Brit series.
Ryan Gomez
Bout' time that faggot did some actual racing and quit fucking around in Follow 1.
Ryan Collins
Mardenborough x Button in Team Impul Calsonic will japan allow it?
Elijah Morgan
fyi all codemasters racing games are on sale on steam this weekend
Gavin Gomez
If they're even bringing it up and the reason they didn't have one this year was just to put Visit Florida at Le Mans then they'll have a Cadillac next year, they're just memeing to make it look more legitimate. Both AXR and SoD are France family teams just one has a shop in North Carolina and the other in Florida.
Eg. SoD runs out of the same shop as Ben Kennedy's K&N team did (at the same time), Ben Kennedy currently drives for Childress in Xfinity, and Childress builds the engines for the Cadillacs.
He obviously needs to win Amazing Race to keep his ride.
Angel Campbell
I don't think two drivers that don't share a language with the team would work.
Chase Long
Tomorrow is the season finals of ADAC 3-Städte-Rallye in Bad Griesbach which is an hours drive from my place
>One of the regular topics of debate over the past decade and more has been the automatic closing of the pits under full-course cautions. Even at its best, this eliminates the gaps between cars, but at its worse it can upend the running order.
>If some drivers have pitted already and then the yellows fly, those who haven’t pitted – perhaps because they’ve been better at going fast while fuel saving – are left stranded on the track at pacecar speed, allowing those who have pitted already to pack up behind them, and then hit the front once the pitlane is opened and the leaders go for their fuel and tire stops.
This would be one of the last gimmicks in Indycar that teams can't control for or strategize around. Tire options? Down to team strategy. Push to Pass? Down to team strategy and driver discretion. Caution Flags? Entirely random an potentially punishing to dominant drivers. For example Toronto buttfucked the top three drivers and allowed Josef to drive to an easy win.
Asher Robinson
Fuck that shit, staying out longer is supposed to be a gamble.
Hunter Turner
>mfw Blaney is moving to Penske my favorite driver and a team I don't like, wat do
Gavin Edwards
He's been with them for like 5 years now
Jace Cox
yeah I know but it was nice seeing Wood Brothers running with a good driver, now they get Paul fucking Menard
Connor Wright
Nope. Staying out longer is an advantage thanks to fuel saving. There’s no reason some backmarker should be able to gamble on strategy and win the caution lottery to move to the front. If a driver is putting on a dominant display, then let him dominate.
Indycar will benefit immensely.

Can an engineer user explain why they can't make LMP1 tier canopies on open wheel cars (just slimmed down and a top opening hatch)? The halo seems like it does more harm (compromised visibility) than good.

Honestly don't really mind Truex right now. He's gonna cruise into the f4 so it's whatev. Just really hope we can get Kyle out this weekend and have someone outrun Truex at Homestead. Literally OK with anyone in it winning the championship but the 18/78

Troox's hopes all depend on if Larson or JJ get to Homestead. Those two are probably his biggest threats. Larson is consistent and has stage points to fall back on. If JJ gets in the Round of 8. He's got Martinsville and Hendrick always finds speed at the last leg. Either of those wouldn't be good news.
John Jackson
Troox has driven shitboxes throughout his entire career, and now that he's winning, people are shitting on him? Why, dude?
