That's not necessarily a bad thing. They've done the Y7, badguy of the day, circular plotline thing to death already. It'd be nice to have a coherent and linear story, not to mention actual character development.

Kino. It looks Kino, it has the same cast (save Mako), and Genndy is in charge. Plus it is going to be a linear narrative, not episodic, and have a conclusion that ties up the story.
Also -- the Scottsman's daughter is in it.

I hope it's super edgy. If you want a stoic guy with a sword killing robots in a non threatening way, just rewatch the first four seasons. If they don't change anything, people are going to watch this a realize that samurai jack is nothing special and they just like it because it doesn't have much dialogue and it makes them feel like they're watching kino when it's really weeaboo spongebob.

This series did Anakin perfectly. Didn't need years and years of seasons like the 2008 clone wars. Just in the fight between him and Ventress with no dialogue, you can see his conflict.
