I live in a college town so I have never met a hipster that wasn't living off mommy and daddy's dime while they dropped out of school.

>how to start a cult
"social experiment" genre spoof where attention seeking narcissists start a cult as a goof

The hilarious yet sad struggles of a long past their prime Nu-Metal band as they fight for relevance a decade after their peak. A slice of life character study of five childhood friends who cant quit each other or the thing they built together (as much as they'd often want to), and how they cope with not being able to simply move on with their lives while not being able to live like they used to either.

Bored to Death is already a show. As is the newest adaptation of Dirk Gently.

Kek that's the gayest thing I've ever read

Top kek sir

Does she have nudes? Because I couldn't give a fuck about some feminist bitch unless she has nudes and can squirt like a fountain (NOT PISS!)

i've been thinking about this way longer than i should've

>A dark comedy about a struggling family man and college professor who is magicked into the body and life of a twenty-something woman whom he insulted on his morning commute
>Has to adapt to his new life while attempting to contact his former family and set things right
>Discovers he has an "impersonator" living in his old body, who is actively seeking to ruin the main character's old life (and later on actively stalks and then attempts to kidnap the main character in their new body)
>Main character finds out he wasn't the only person "switched" and now is unraveling information about "The Swap" as it comes to be called
>Show follows a continuing plot with some episode "sitcom" or "monster of the week" type stories, but it can be watched loosely out of order and the viewer can still get the gist
>Each episode, the main character deals with the changes to their life (and adapts as they can), seeks out other "swappers," and works to solve the grander mystery of the show (while avoiding their original self who actively is hunting them)
>Other "swappers" are introduced on a weekly basis as part of the show's episodic plots, but a few become supporting characters early on. These include an old man who has become a preteen boy again and constantly "leaps before he looks" while referencing kooky shit like "killing Charlie in the jungle"; a brilliant but gay and ultra-feminist graduate student who is aged ten years and falls into the body of an uber-conservative paraplegic mother of four; and a "I'm too tired of this shit" black detective who wakes up in the body of a Filipino lady's man and starts to soften up while forgetting his wife and kids ever existed

>Other swappers who appear for one or two episodes: a middle-aged trophy wife who becomes an ugly ducking high school nerd, slowly tries to "force a reset" back into her old life with horrible results; a little girl who becomes a dickhead horny football player; a Crip who becomes a Blood; a teenage brony who becomes a middle-aged pervert....
>Rest of supporting cast includes: the main character's original family (wife, kids, and his "impersonator"); his new body's hipster roommate and her bohemian boyfriend; a former protege/student who has taken a liking to the main character in their new body (and doesn't believe their story for much of the show); a former colleague who also teaches at the university and believes our main character, becomes the "mentor" to our main character
>As the story unfolds, we find out "swapping" is brought on by something otherworldly
>Show gets weird as shit as the main character starts learning how to fight in his new body and kicks all sorts of alien ass
>Impersonator is an alien too because wtf not
>Recurring cast of protagonists take on a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" kind of vibe

It would be the number one show on Tumblr. Easily.

Stop watching anime.

Write it before I do fag

Not a very good writer or artist, just a concept guy. But it absolutely gave me a boner, don't worry.

its been done. Its not mean spirited though

>In the far future humans have abandoned the Earth and moved far into the stars
>few have any recollection of what it was genuinely like, much of its history and ecology faded into myth
>A mining ship crewed with a fairly diverse crew is on its way to strip mine elements from some shitty rocky no-life planets, but it succumbs to an unfortunate accident
>A few bumbling fuckwads are the only ones who survive
>Ship veers way off course and crashes into a primitive-looking Earth, without our characters realizing it is in fact their ancestral home
>A ragtag team of a neurotic robot, a simple-minded mutant, a narcissistic Brit, and a K-Pop idol wannabe venture out onto this primitive Earth hoping to finish their mission and contact other humans nearby to come and rescue them
>they have wacky adventures on a hyper-evolved planet Earth and show turns into an episodic sci-fi sitcom
>the crew fights dinosaurs, meets "cavemen," and has space battles
>they maybe even get off the planet in later seasons and start doing even weird shit like time travel and dimension hopping
>it's Red Dwarf meets Land of the Lost with a sexy korean

Cyberpunk tale about manual laborers in a future society where looks and status (i.e; social media whoring) determine physical wealth. Pretty much every regular job is solved by machines so these laborers (known as "robots"), being either too ugly or too awkward to make it in a social media-based society, take whatever job they can get repairing said machines.

The show follows the society that robots have built, a largely bitter and cynical bunch constantly in competition with each other. The jobs they take are thankless and high-risk (the first shot of the show would ideally be a robot being blown off a building while repairing an LED billboard). Most of it would be pretty black comedy.

Have you seen Dark Star?

Do you have a main character/cast?

7/10

fuck this actually sounds interesting

Heard of it. Never watched. Will now. Thanks!

Inspired by Legend of Galactic Heroes and Twin Peaks, I thought it would be cool if a space federation special agent of some kind was dispatched to a kind of backwater planet to investigate a mysterious rash of murders.

But the planet is largely self-sufficient and through isolation has developed a culture of pseudo-Victorian appearance and sensibilities, with some futuristic twists. The most well-to-do families live in large wooden houses, while the newer settlers live in 3D-printed, prefabricated houses.

Anyways the special agent discovers a conspiracy or some aliens or something

Thought a bit more about this concept. I actually think it would be more interesting if the "switch" were unexplained for a while, and that maybe even the Impersonator is literally just a dick who was able to "steal" this guy's life so he decided to shit all over it (rather than being an alien). Leaves a bit more an empty feeling or gut punch when it's an "inverse Quantum Leap" in a sense, and not actually aliens who chose the main character because he was "really important" or some shit.

Nope, he was just a dumb victim who's now stuck in the body of a girl half his age, totally rewriting his life and personality to adapt because his old life just got totally fucked and there's no going back.

But yeah, still need to fight aliens because... that would be fucking cool.

women with tattoos and/or short hair is the boner killer

I agree, that kind of thing is better left unexplained than giving the audience an "oh." kind of moment with an underwhelming reveal

Women who act masculine or deny/ignore their femininity are a rare fruit. Peeling away the layers to reveal the sex-starved maniac underneath is one of life's most beautiful treasures. But I wouldn't expect a pleb to understand

I do not. This was just a fun little concept I've been cooking up in my spare time.

Literally anything as long as the main character is an unlikable and cynical young person the audience will eat it up.

a post-societal collapse story about beekeeper, with territory and resource conflicts playing in the background, with the focus being interactions between the beekeeper and other settlers

The only boner kill in that photo are the dyke glasses and crappily drawn on eyebrows.
Women with daintier faces should have thinner brows.

t. hardcore beta
the only thing you've peeled back is your underwear before you jerk off lol

You're a virgin, not me.

I love this idea

I had a similar idea but I took it even further, where the upper classes lived lives of unrestricted pleasure and decadence and never did anything they didn't want to.

The lower castes are forced to perform extremely well in science and technology to be 'bought' by one of the corporate feudal masters to essentially do all the thinking.

I got of the idea when I thought of an extremely sheltered person seeing the inside of a machine for the first time and being repulsed as though they were looking at a person's guts

i would rather be a virgin than try to placate a feminist just so i can get laid.

Ohh, I see. You don't know anything. Sorry for wasting your time trying to enlighten you

i dont know anything because i dont waste time bending over for feminists hoping they come around with my help? do you know how much of a fucking loser you are?

>to be 'bought' by one of the corporate feudal masters to essentially do all the thinking.
In a slightly different vein I'm reminded of the "Five Million Credits" episode of Black Mirror, where at the end the black guy is shown living in a nice apartment overlooking the ruined world solely because his crazy shit gets ratings. He got bought by the media machine.

A cannibal serial killer with the highest confirmed body count recounts his life trying to take care of his kids and sick wife while keeping his secret safe from everyone.

>the only thing you've peeled back is your underwear before you jerk off lol

So, Bored To Death?

>Bored to Death
came here to say this

the criminal brother is also a cop but dirty. the good brother gets drugged every other week and his unconscious body is lugged around by the criminal brother for his antics

A family show about a dysfunctional family living in suburban America, yeah that sounds original

your standard daytime television drama. Cop show, Hospital show, rich family dealing with their affluent but fucked up lives, whatever.
set up the pilot to explain the plot and characters then everything else that happens next is voted on by the viewers. 3-4 plot lines are posted online, after a week which ever has the most votes happens and the writers have to work it into a plot somehow even if its ridiculous

>We have a case of non-vegan food in a vegan restaurant, capitan.
>Only one xer can take this case...

I want to put my dick in that mouth and never pull out.
