Why didn't people like this movie?

MUH DAVY JONES
i literally do not remember the plot of any of these movies
it's better than 2 but no way better than 3 famalam
It was very forgettable. I've watched the trilogy many of times and still love the first two, in annoyed and exhausted everytime I watch the 3rd one. I watched the 4th one once and don't remember much. I prob watch all of them before I see the 5th one.
Pepe Cruz is the only good thing about it
>3
>better than 2
Pick one
It was better than 3 dunno about 2
I'm currently rewatching them but haven't seen the fourth yet.
2 >= 1 >>>>>>> 3
I liked it. It was just a fun adventure movie that didn't try too hard to be epic like the last two, and getting rid of Will and Elizabeth was entirely positive. Also, dem mermaids.
I liked all the movies a lot, though this one was probably the one I liked the least, I still did like it.
>No Davy Jones
>No Epic Scale
>Blackbeard is a bitch
>Jack is the main character
>No Black Pearl Crew
>No Ship combat
>Most of the movie is exposition
2=1>3>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 4
1>2>4>3
patricians choice
Will it be good?
My question is why didn't people like 3? They went completely mad and its wondeful.
>completely mad
Boring and uninteresting exposition and dialogue? What an absolute madman,
3 is underrated AF fuck
>Maelstrom battle
felt more like a spinoff than a sequel, with most of the main characters gone.
it wasnt that bad, but it was worse than the other three and it just felt like they've decided to milk the shit out of the franchise till it dies
i want the jews to put in a little more effort
>felt more like a spinoff than a sequel
That was the point wasn't it?
Probably.
>anything worse than 2
Because nothing happens in it ?
Its painfully boring and forgettable
Everything from that movie is gonna be dropped including the new girl and the guy who got taken away by the mermaid chick
Protip
3>1>4>2
1 > 4 > 2 > 3
Pirates : Great adventure film, in the same vein of Indiana Jones
Pirates 2: Not an adventure film, but a fantasy film, more closer to LOTR than Indiana Jones, but whatever
Pirates 3: A failed attempt to keep the LOTR tone. Too convulted and self awared. Still better than SW Episode 1 or 2.
Pirates 4: An attempt to come back to the tone of the first movie, but failed because it´s poorly directed and art direction pales compared to the previous 3 films. Is forgettable and not memorable at all.
I never understood how people can defend 2 since it relies on 3 to finish it's story. 2 and 3 are just one 4 hour movie to me. I hate it.
Stranger Tides was pretty self contained, and I thought it was a good time. It's definitely the best sequel this series has had.
I agree with you about 2 and 3, also both are poorly paced compared to the first one.
Never like Stranger Tides. I will watch Cutthroat Island instead.
Really sums it up, I enjoyed the first one because aside from the ghost pirates it was a typical swashbuckler experience.
Then 2 and 3 went super fantasy and it was too much ya know.
4.. yeah poorly directed, I was really hoping for more of a #1 style movie but nope.
Now 5 is gonna be 4 all over again but with Orlando Bloom being all over it with his "I'm captain of the flying dutchman now!" shtick.
All I wanted was a standard pirate movie where Johnny Depp encountered some whacky people and sailed around and visited islands and stuff. not ghostly submarines captained by pretty boys who long for A cup women while battling the undead squid forces of doom.
this. i cant stand the will/elizabeth bullshit. the mermaid love thing was cute.
I like the first one, when Jack Sparrow is a rogue character. But since Pirates 2, everything is about Jack: Jack and Davy Jones, jack here, jack there, let´s recue jack, why only can do it with jack, etc.
It gets boring.
