Overrated

Manchester by the Sea is the most overrated movie of 2016. Hacksaw Ridge was the best movie of last year and the only reason it isn't winning all the awards is because Mel Gibson is the director. Mel Gibson is the greatest living director.

I liked it user.

>Hacksaw Ridge was the best movie of last year

It was literally babby's first war movie.

It was still the best movie released last year.

t. Dishonest Shitposter

Hacksaw Ridge and Hunt for the Wilderpeople were the only honest films released last year.

It was a great kino experience.
Hacksaw had it's moments but was mostly shit overall.

Which is not true by the way, you just have a very limited view of what film is. You really are a tremendous moron.

It's not a good disease

I'm shocked that someone who finds a subtle, realistic study of grief overrated loves the most in-your-face and preachy movie of the year. Genuinely shocked. Who could have predicted this? It's unfathomable.

Name some other honest films from last year.

The Neon Demon
The Nice Guys
One More Time With Feeling
Cemetery of Splendor
Endless Poetry

u havent seen hell of high water then im gussing OP

Not if you've ever seen another war movie.

It doesn't get much more dishonest than The Neon Demon.

>It was still the best movie released last year.
That's not The Accountant

No, Handmadien and Nocturnal Animals were better

I like Gibson but damn son do you even watch films? Elle, Cemetery of Splendor and Knight of Cups are easily better than HR

I'll concede that Nocturnal Animals is up there and may be better. Most of the other movies named by other anons are trash though.

Explain your position, pseud.

Mel Gibson couldn't direct traffic in the Texas countryside

Even Hail, Cesar! was better

This scene and a few other scenes were good, but other than that, it was boring shit.

I haven't the other movies but the Nice Guys was not good. It was a movie for juvenile teenagers.

The accountant sucked

Refn is one of the most dishonest filmmakers of all time. It doesn't require explanation.

Oh. Good. You know nothing.

>it doesn't require explanation

Humour us.

What a ridiculous opinion. You're just like the SJWs who hate any movie in which things they don't approve of happen. You just have a boner for Mel because of muh Sup Forums views, that's it

>#triggered

refn is a hack
style over substance
you guys are plebs who think theyre not

You are all wrong and everything Mel Gibson works on ends up being solid gold.

Elle is the most underrated movie of the year, it's confusing to me

The first hour of Hacksaw was complete garbage. The battle is fantastic don't get me wrong but every second leading up to it it trite, cliche, garbage.

Nocturnal Animals was stupidly edgy, I couldn't take it seriously

The Neon Demon is the epitome of pseudo-intellectual garbage

The true Kino of the year was Swiss Army Man hands down.

This is undeniable fact.
Fartkino, MEW, and classic Paul Dano

Patrician taste.

>edgy

Did you watch the same movie I watched?

>One More Time With Feeling

Why do so many boring Nick Cave documentaries come out?
