The rich parts are real nice, but the crime is terrible and you don't really feel safe in anywhere but the nicest areas. Dealing with blacks can be a pain especially when their Afrikaans/English knowledge is limited. No real job opportunities for whites and low wages make it shit unless you've got a job lined up from a family member. I was always paranoid of crime, whenever I was driving I would immediately lock my doors when I started my car so that I would have a lower chance of being carjacked, even if I was only walking down the street to talk to someone for 2 minutes I would still lock my front door.
