>Am I the only one that liked this?
That's actually pretty likely.
it was aight
>tfw i'm actually from poughkeepsie.
Nah, i'll never forget that one scene
i leaned my head back from the screen at the ending
holy shit i thought that shit was real
Think it's pretty tragic it never saw a proper release desu. Not too bad at all.
...
No you are not; it's fucking pure psykino
I don't see why it got so much hate, some of the scenes were 10/10 spook
I think it's one of those movies that have really great individual scenes, but as a whole it feels weak.
I felt the same way about Lake Mungo; the cellphone video scene was legitimately amazing and scared the shit out of me, but I had no real interest in the rest of the film.
any horror recommendations that aren't the same recycled stuff everyone mentions? plz
I'm with ya there, seemed like the rest of the film only served as a buildup to that scene. But goddamn, it paid off
has this gotten the Sup Forums seal of kino?
If kino actually means "shitty movie", then yeah this movie is definitely kino.
Fuck. I always get my hopes up by watching the trailers for horror and I'm always crushingly disappointed
the evil dead remake was fucking kino af
also Insidious chapter 3 was spooky as fuck
>the evil dead remake was fucking kino af
My nigga
Watched it with two friends drunk and we loved every second of it
do I have to watch chapter 2 to understand what's going on?
I only watched it once ~18 months back and it didn't seem too spoopy at the time, tho there were unnerving, tense moments as states.
However, it has lingered like fuck in my brain since; certain scenes that seemed innocuous have developed resonance in consideration of the whole movie, and overall it's affected more of a sense of dread upon me in retrospect than anything other than the opening sequence of Martin which I saw for the first time late at night age 11.
Tl;dr creepy af, haunting
>apologies for run on sentence/blog
no
the only thing connecting 2 and 3 is that the lady who can talk to the spirit world is in both of them
this scene is fucking spooky as a motherfucker
youtube.com
Has it ever gotten an actual proper release yet?
It hasn't, no
Sienna Guillory says naughty things all while looking cute in The Wicked Within (2015). Also features Eric Roberts, so you know it's kino.
Scariest movie I've seen, it's like watching a nightmare.
...
I liked it OK. Was more creepy than good, though. And don't know about kino, but here's everything I gave 8/10+ to.
decent list (from the ones I've seen). Thanks senpai
I liked the first 30 minutes or so where you could almost believe that it was based in reality but then it went batshit and fell apart though it did have that one creepy scene that everyone remembers.
Why would you rate cold prey 2 an 8 and not even list the original cold prey?
>I Am A Hero
Had no idea this had an adaptation.
yes...it nailed the creepy atmosphere but more importantly it had existential dread, which probably is the scariest thing of all...
thank you senpai, and i agree with the above poster, the movies I have seen on the list are 8+/10..def will check out some of the others, I've been trying to find more..
I gave the original a 7/10 [not shown].
It was pretty darn good. Liked it more than Train to Busan, even.
My pleasure. I can say that I unreservedly love and endorse all those. Splinter is a go to rec, as not many have seen it and it's a blast. Amazing creature design, especially given the budget.
Is it better than VHS? because that was a steaming pile of garbage
cool concept though
yes. also VHS 2>>>>>>VHS
No. Serious. I'm watching it for the first time right now. I'm about halfway in. I cannot tell if it's a parody or just bad at this point. I keep laughing though. Watch it with me, nerd. VHS had a couple not-shitty things going for it. This one just might be funnybad.
I'm going back in. Wish me luck Sup Forums.
ill be checking I am a hero then will check out Splinter for sure!
>liking reddit horror
kek
Not a bad list, although Splinter is absolute dogs eggs.
Splinter was rad. Ok, back to lolcrapsie rapes.
Jump scares are fucking shit and boring tho.

The Tunnel.
The Relic.
Oh forgot to mention, the main girl in those movies plays the snake chick from Westworld.
I thought the first one was fantastic, like one of the top 5 slashers ever made. 2nd one was way more campy and kind of had a resident evil series kind of feel to me but didn't really strike me as well done as the original. 3rd film was just average and forgettable.
It might sound weird but I had to stop watching when they started playing the falsely executed cop's death tape. Some kind of deep-seated fear just told me I couldn't deal with that.
Fair enough. I generally dislike most slashers and view them as bottom of the barrel, but I liked the first one a lot and loved the second one even more as it expanded the world a bit and made it feel realer to me. Agreed on the third. Best not to think about it.
